Good post exiled When we were on the 7 game unbeaten run , including an all too rare point at the scum , even tho we hadn't played particularly well in some of those fixtures we looked a tough nut to crack and that we might have had small aspirations for the play offs Then during the 6 game non winning sequence (which overlapped the 7 unbeaten) the lack of goals and wins and I personally began to think we were in grave danger of being sucked into a relegation battle and struggled to see where the next win was coming More than pleased with anything from 21st position up and with SCP marshallng these troops underachieving will not be allowed
There is a bigger cushion between us and the relegation places than there is between us and the play off places. Agree that we are probably one or two players short, but we are playing in a Division where every team can beat every other. Peterborough beat Cardiff away a few weeks ago and I wasn't surprised.
People have highlighted that the midfield needs to improve but the trick really is to be tight defensively and have a goal or two in you. The two away games we lost recently, we could have won. At Bolton, JJ had a great chance just before N'Gog showed his class and th eref did us out of a couple of goals at Wednesday and they got a couple of wonder goals.
We haven't cracked our home form yet and if we can get on top of this, our away form is certainly up there with the best of them. In a game of slim margins, We aren't so very far away.
