Wednesday have conceded 2.09 goals per game at Hillsborough. Only team with a worse record are Bristol City. Then you can add in the fact that we have the best away defence in the league, even after conceding twice at Bolton last weekend, and Wednesday's toothless attack.

That means a 0-1 at the very worst if our strikers have a stinker and Wednesday get one from a set piece.
  • I'll be at this game as it's one of my 'local' fixtures so I'm hoping for some festive joy in an Addicks victory. Cort has to return, thought we missed him last week. Hope SCP tells his players to be bold as we really are good enough to get a result at Hillsborough.

Having said that I've been thinking 1-1 all day for some reason.
  • This could be a 0-0. We will all be standing right at the back to keep out of the rain which is forecast to be driving into our boats. Good job there will be plenty of room. Happy days.
  • I'm taking 3 lucky umbrellas.

We'll win,Jackson to score and perhaps Hulse.
  • If Haynes ( a potentially weak character like bwp) stays hungry to impress then we will get three points. Hulse should play every game (an absolute essential in my opinion with a strong sense of self belief) With these two and a late show by Fuller we will be fine. Morrison and Cort the man mountains in defence and if Frimpong finds his feet then there will be a fluid charlton performance as good as the best in this league

  • I would consider giving BWP a run here. He has a point to prove and essentially he is up against a Division one defence which is what a lot of you think he is capable of doing well against. The pitch will be soaking wet and Haynes will disappear into the puddles.
  • This is going to be a game heavily influenced by the weather in my view. Given that the Sheffield Wednesday players and support are used to the ground and the capriciousness of the conditions they will have the advantage there. There are several players at Wednesday that would like to put one over on their old club, and their support may be lifted by the win at Barnsley. The referee is pretty local to them too, so all in all very grim, and given our hardy but small support, lonely up north.
Our first requirement will need to be character, determination and concentration. Be there on business, get it, get out. If we melt then Wednesday will win, if we compete, especially in the first half we may have a chance. if we score first we are very unlikely to lose. 0-0 after an hour and we have a very good chance.
The Addick 500 are total and absolute heroes for travelling, it would be great if they travelled safely home with a point or three.
We can do it, but only if we're up for it.
  • with the way the weather is at the moment, a damp squib of a game is mostly likely what it'll be! a hard fought game in tricky conditions, I expect SCP to put out a side able to deal with the lumps of wednesday and hopefully our erm...class(?!) will prevail.. more likely a draw though.
  • IMO Sheffield Wednesday are the worst team in this league and will finish bottom, 2-0 win to us to put pressure on Jones. Hopefully an own goal from helmet boy would be an early Christmas present
