Sorry losing at Bolton is an indication that we will finish in mid table. All our successful seasons have us beating the Bolton, Barnsley and Blackburn, therefore current results would indicate, that this season is mid table.

In the two years that JIminez and Slater have been our owners Charlton have progressed massively both on and off the pitch. It might not tell the whole story but I think that fact is pretty undeniable.
Remember when we finished 7th in the prem. People thought that was our natural level and would push on to even great heights. It can go very pear shaped very quickly. Bolton and us are both proof.
Shows how far we have come last season we were in lge 1 this season a mid table championship side
It also shows how much Bolton have declined, I'm sure they expected to be further up the table
The season we finished 13th in L1, Bolton finished 14th in the PL. Then last season we got promoted whilst they got relegated and now we're both midtable Championship sides. What a contrast.
When we got relegated from the PL, how many of us expected automatic promotion, especially after Pardew splashed the cash, bringing in top young talent like Varney, Mcleod, ZZ, Racon... instead we finished mid table and continued sliding...

I think a lot of people expected us to be in and around the promotion spots. Pardew was still reasonably popular among the majority at the time.

Losing at Bolton is no more indication of where we'll finish than beating Cardiff or Leicester.
And comparing historical results against teams from several seasons ago means absolutely nothing this season.
We're mid table - obviously, current results indicate we'll finish this season mid table. What's your specialist subject - the bleedin' obvious?
I did not make the mid table comment as a criticism , but just that losing at Bolton is not an indicator of how far we have come. Beating Cardiff maybe ! Happy with mid table. God, you say anything on hear and people leap on you.

Well if we hadn't have progressed out of League One the way we did then we wouldn't have been playing Bolton!

You mean to tell me powell can't get us back to back promotions? Powell out
Probably the same people who weren't keen on Curbishley. How did that turn out?
