7 ? Are you the "real" Yann Kermorgant ??? :-)

  • Blimey, some consistantly very average marks so far. Not one player awarded an 8.

Were individual performances really like that ?

yes, no-one stood out, it was an average performance by two average teams which was won by two individual good moves that we couldn't defend.
Now if Fuller had been available and given 30 minutes............

  • Fuller's the ideal man to play the lone role up front. We need him back asap.
  • Hamer - 6 - Did alright, commanded his box alright, bad distribution though, little he could do about the goals.
Solly - 7.5 - People forget that he was up against two very skilled wingers (Eagles and Yung-Lee) and neither got past him to cause any trouble, credit for that.
    Morrison - 6 -
Dervite - 6 - Seemed to do more than Morrison but i'm not entirely sure, that said he got turned twice for the goals (I think, it was a long way away) so a -.5 for that
Seabourne - 6.5 - Seemed more confident today
    Wilson - 6.5 - Did alright.
Frimpong - 7.5 - Held the back end of the diamond well, knew his positioning, read the game well and released the ball at the right times
Stephens - 8.5 - Best game i've seen him have, passed the ball well and seemed like the lynchpin of our attack int he second half (when we dominated), think he's been marked harshly
    Jackson - 5.5 - Did little really
Haynes - 6 - Think his speeds wasted on the left, he needs to be upfront with Fuller.
Kermorgant - 6 - Lone striker was a tough deal today but nearly knicked a goal off Zat Knight off one point. Think he could play at this level with some gametime (maybe, though i'd prefer Fuller)

Not sure why some people are giving such low scores. Overall I thought we were disciplined and professional and better than the opposition. Should have taken our chances as Bolton did theirs. Even their own fans were surprised to be winning.

    This.
  • Low scores to the attackers precisely because we didn't take our chances!

For 70 odd minutes we maybe shaded it, but hardly played well. Dervite lost several aerial challenges to Davies, then was left floundering errors for the N'Gog goals. Haynes posed little attacking threat, and most of his deliveries intio the box were hopeless.

Funnily enough, I think you relatively undermarked Wilson, I don't see see how he was worse than all the other midfielders!

  • Aside from the goals, which were well taken by Ngog, I thought Dervite had a good game in defence. I'm surprised that he's been so criticised here. He seemed solid to me and it was Davies and Morrison who had a battle going on. Bolton were ineffectual against our very disciplined formation and couldn't find a way through until Ngog came on. Wilson misplaced passes and his crosses were often misjudged, although rather mysteriously everyone seemed to be overhitting them.
