how nice it is to have a huge number of games to pick from! bournemouth away, although most of the game was lacklustre, when the winning goal went in, despite it was rubbish, was mental. obviously hartelpool at home....still can't believe yann's goal!
bought my brother the dvd for xmas...can't wait to get home and watch it!
My timing couldn't have been better. Coming over from California I had to decide which games to take in and book up 3 months ahead of time. It just so happens it was the Oldham and Carlisle games. The rest is Charlton history. :-)
The back to back wins against our closest promotion rivals at the beginning of the year (Sheff Wed away and Sheff Utd at home). This was the point when I honestly felt we would win the league - and still half the season to go!! Also really enjoyed Chesterfield away on a Tuesday night. Excellent pub and fish and chips before the game, lovely stadium, and an absolute demolition of the opposition (admittedly the bottom of the league). Sadly, work commitments prevented me from being at Carlisle :-(
Bournemouth at home I knew we would win that league or minimum go up automatic
Remember saying it to Ketman and mcs after the match in the lib that there was something different there in the team couldn't put my finger on it but just knew it
Well I don't get to so many but I loved Yeovil away on Boxing Day. The second half onslaught where Morro was camped in their half for 20 minutes, as they went after the winner; That told me that the team thought they could win the league.
I know I said Carlisle ( for what it meant) but reading other people's posts reminds I'm reminded of how many highlights we've had, Yanns goal v Hartlepool was sublime, and the beret at the end was the icing on the cake for our season, hope 2013 is as good Charlton wise.

Yeah that spell when Morro became an extra forward, people talk about things being like the Alamo, it was like that for Yeovil then.
I think the Cardiff game will go down deservedly in legend, and I am glad I was there.
Hartlepool at home final game of the season - What a perfect end Followed closely by Cardiff at home, typical Charlton knowing you aren't safe for the win even when being 3 goals up.
Bournemouth away was a smashing sunny day, with a few pre-match pints in the town then grabbing the points to put us firmly on the promotion road. However, having got back to the Championship and drifted towards the basement, that amazingly entertaining home game against Cardiff restored our self-belief. That's the one for me!
The atmosphere at Hartlepool was amazing. Never seen an opposition side get sung off the pitch at the end before, and you could see that their players really apprecated it. The fact we won coupled with being presented the trophy made for a day where you really felt like there were 26,000 people fully enjoying themselves, home and away support.
Yeovil away on Boxing Day where we won in the last minute and all our near neighbours managed to drop points was incredible. Bournemouth away was a similar feeling
Oldham (home)..............last second equaliser !! Sheff Wed (away)............... 6 pointer and showed who was boss Sheff Utd (away)................ never seen us get anything there and wsas the start of the promotion push for me Hudds (home)................ you can stick your f****record up your arse
We did not play oldham at home in 2012. We did not play Sheff United away in 2012. Whilst we have played Huddersfield at home in 2012, we broke the record in 2011.

Golfie did well didn't he!
I think Golfie meant Bury, not Oldham. Oldham got a late equaliser against us in December 2011 in what was one of the more unpleasant matches of last season. All niggling fouls and bad reffing. The Bury game featured Dale's last minute thunderbolt to equalise and Haynes giving it to their tubby keeper.

to put that poxy league to the sword
Waking up at 2am like a 6yr old at xmas and not being able to sleep although the boys were not coming till 6
The boys that i went up with all life long charlton and as nssjr would say proper charlton
Meeting all good lads up there at the ground where you can not be any further from home
The smoking of a la de da at the point it was over
The text from nss saying weds had scored
The text saying offside
The pitch invasion
Tge refusal to leave till they came back out
The beers the man hugs the journey home
Epic what supporting charlton is all about
