    Perhaps they figure the loss on drink would be less than the cost of damages. Not ideal but maybe a sensible move.

    Not sure, I'd imagine this day would probably be their biggest takings of the year, real shame if they just have to swallow it especially as the environment for these places is so tough right now.

    Agreed. It would indeed be a big payday and a great loss to them. It appears they will be heeding the advise of the police just in case. Prevention is better than cure .

    All the pubs were closed last time we played them at home. So its not just down to last week.

    The Bugle wasnt under police advice. I was away but i know my pals were drinking in the Red Lion on the day so assume the rest were shut as well.
