  • This has been decided 3 months in advance ?
  • no real surprise after last week and the millwall threats to put Charlton back in their place
  • Rose of Denmark will be shut as well, especially after what happened a few years back.
  • Do these places get compensated ?

Perhaps they figure the loss on drink would be less than the cost of damages. Not ideal but maybe a sensible move.

Not sure, I'd imagine this day would probably be their biggest takings of the year, real shame if they just have to swallow it especially as the environment for these places is so tough right now.
  • Agreed. It would indeed be a big payday and a great loss to them. It appears they will be heeding the advise of the police just in case. Prevention is better than cure .
  • Len will have a field day with the 'no impact on the home game' brigade.

  • Bugle will be closed as well. I'd be surprised if anyone is foolish enough to open.

    He already is!
  • I'm surprised a decision has been made this early. If this is the case, then all pubs would be closed in the area then?
  • All the pubs were closed last time we played them at home. So its not just down to last week.
  • No problem. Just bring along a few bottles of whatever you fancy ;o)

I could have sworn the Con was open ?
  • The Bugle wasnt under police advice. I was away but i know my pals were drinking in the Red Lion on the day so assume the rest were shut as well.

  • Royal Oak was open last time. Think I had a drink in the Anchor and Hope as well.
  • Clancy's will be open! (The Millionaire/Dockers Bar)

Don't be silly - it's all down to The Taliban and their attempts to enfore sharia law in the UK (by stopping us drinking alcohol). Len said so.
  • I could have sworn they were all told to shut - or advised as said above? my memory is getting bad.
  • I wonder if it affects your insurance claim if you're advised to shut, stay open and get trashed

The Waffen SS turned up en masse and had a massive ruck with the local Taliban. Len told me.
