Obviously didn't please the upper north youth but he let the the game flow, disregarded the pansies that let themselves get fairly barged off the ball and judged the 50/50 tackles for what they are, part of the game
I agree he let the game flow, but he did us no favours. Everything that was 50/50 or even 60/40 he gave to Brighton. Hulse and Morro were both on the end of a lot of shirt-pulling, obstruction and fouls and got hardly any given. That said, was particularly impressed with haynes after a Brighton player barged him over when he was running down the right 2nd half, and while the crowd were shouting for the foul, he got up, took the ball back and carried on. Top man. Not the worse referee we've had this season, but that's not really a compliment.
I thought we bad our fair share of the decisions and the little goal area shannanihans by hulse and morro were probably judged rightly by the ref as our players trying to unsettle the Brighton defence
Apart from blocking one of our attacks which then led to a Brighton counter and ignoring a blatant handball , I think he did ok. A lot better than some others.
Very good ref. Best we have had in years IMO. Kept the game moving, no pointless silly bookings. Seems to have become a habbit to boo ref's from the pitch and it is a bit sad and tiresome tbh.
Thought he lacked any bottle when it came to big decisions to be honest, whilst he let the game flow it was because he missed or ignored many fouls, everytime we had a corner morro has pushed or had his shirt almost torn off his back.
Don't agree with the good ref verdict above thought he was really poor.
Started off OK but worse as the game went on. The handabll he missed on one of their attcaks in the second half was unbeleivable as an example. Just lost it under their cynisym (spelt wrong) This reflects Poyet as a player , never dirty but very cyncical
The ref would get a 7 out of 10. The lino in front of the East Stand, however, was a complete arsehole, missing offsides and fouls galore. 2/10, bottom of the class.
Thought both the ref and the East side Lino were awful. When Haynes was brought down by a tackle that would have seen a yellow card in rubgy, the lino completely missed it, the ref at first decided nothing was wrong and when Haynes got up and carried on eventually played advantage but then failed to so much as have a word with the offending player, who deserved a yellow (minimum). And that was just one of many incidents where it seemed BHA were given far more leniency and leeway than CAFC. I'm all for letting a game flow but when you blow up for something you need to make sure you do the same regardless of which team does it.

Lino did flag, but ref played on when Haynes kept going. Agree, should have been pulled back for a yellow.
Assume this is a wind up. He was fucking terrible. El Ab did nothing but pull shirts for 90mins and wasnt pulled up. Missed 3-4 blatant handballs etc etc.

He gave us nothing all night. every 50/50 went Brighton's way.
