Admin, I tried to register as MadDanSpannerFan earlier in the week but you obviously saw past my pathetic ruse and I cannot use the sign in. I would love to step into the Bunny role, please enable my account, please...
I recently got punched in the face and was landed in hospital. This reminds me of the apology I got from that. "I'm ever so sorry but ... blah blah" It feels like an attempt of a guilt trip, it doesn't wash with me. Having said that, I do respect the opinion of accepting he was man enough to appologise, let's move on.
I was having a discussion the other day and this sort of thing is all too familiar in society recently. There is a big proportion of the population who are never ready to accept responsibility, there always has to be that excuse as to why they did it or why it happened.
That "apology" feels exactly like that, why can't it have just been I'm sorry, leave it at that. If VG want ed to then apologise for his comments then fine. Really does annoy me that sort of thing.
Precisely, especially when the correlation between the action and the excuse is non-existent.
I've just spoke to Gary on the phone, I was waiting to do that before posting anything on CL in response to any of the questions directed at me above.
As Gary has said on here he does accept Matt's apology, which I'm pleased about because the apology was cerainly called for in terms of what was initially said.
I totally disagree with what was said by Matt on Twitter, be in no doubt about it.
I do accept Matt's apology though as being sincere and do believe he genuinely regrets what he said.
I'm also glad he deleted the initial tweet very quickly, so quickly in fact I didn't get the chance to see it and asked Gary to send me the original, which he kindly did.
A lot of people are asking what will happen with Matt Little's blog now.
I can't answer that yet because I need to speak to my boss next week about where we go from here in terms of the football fan blogs on our website in the light of what has happened.
My initial reaction last night was to get rid, not worth the hassle. The comments on Twitter were wrong, crass and stupid.
Matt's apology and quick delete of the tweet (plus the locking of his Twitter account which will prevent any future online incidents like this) are all things which will be factored into the discussion I have with the editor though. In my view a day forward they are factors to his credit.
The blogs are popular and I want to keep them. News Shopper's sports content shouldn't just be about reports and interviews conducted by reporters IMO, fan perspective from the Charlton, Millwall and Palace blogs can be a lot more insightful to readers than anything a hack might write.
But like I say no decision yet until I speak to the boss.

Thanks for the insight NS. Although as someone who has seen a lot of 'bunny' and his antics on the web for a good 6 months now, can I suggest that when you mention things that will be factored into your chat the bossman next week- do you not think that him locking his account & deleting his tweet is really worthy of any credit??
We've all seen his rubbish on here, in the blog and even palarse got a bit too! The guy is a gobshite and a genuine internet warrior. What's to say he won't unlock his account in a month? and what makes a bad tweet acceptable if it's later deleted?
The reason why I say the quick delete of the Tweet was a factor was because it indicated to me he did quickly accept what he had said was unacceptable. The subsequent apology today on here would also indicate that to me.
The Twitter account is going to have to stay locked.
I think having blogs and allowing the likes of Bunny to write them are two separate things.
By all means keep the blogs but try, hard as it might be, to find a Millwall fan who doesn't live down to the worst of their type and whose main aim isn't to wind up fans of other clubs.

Totally agree & as I work for a company that uses NW to advertise locally I will look at their decision with some interest, especially as I have a say in where our advertising budget is spent.
All I'd like to say is ValleyGary is a top fella (I have him on twitter btw) for accepting the apology. I don't think I'd have been able to let that go so easy, So good on him.
Top fella Gary. And I hope your baby is healthy and your Missus is well too.
You have a lot of good mates too from seeing your twitter. Decent lad
Nwes Hopper - you should make him keep his blog going. That way the world will see for itself what a **** both he and the people he represents really are.
If Bunny/Matt got £100 for every comment made under his blogs on Newshopper (that's what he said), then I think he played us all by coming on here & publicising his blogs.
Newshopper, probably play the same game. By putting up all their seperate links on here on a Thursday, they create a lot of hits, which likely benefits them in some way.

NS loves it really, think about how many extra hits all that drama got their website.

Missus is good and less than 6 weeks to go, so nervous.

"I would be over the moon if they got a deserved slap."
They = us by the way.
Money over morals.
