  • Hulse is 1st Jan i thought?
  • edited December 2012
Hulse was until 1 January he is not in QPR's squad so cannot play for anyone else and I am sure it said he was with us until Watford as is Frimpong.

The others both in and out can be extended with the exception of Leon Clarke who has already had his three months emergency loan maximum time.

When does Hollands finish a month?

After the first 28 days the parent club has a 24 hour recall clause so Jonsson and Seabourne could get recalled any time following 8 December or we could opt to send them back, but similarly we could call Smith and Sully back.

  • Really pleased to see Clarke back ;-p
  • What Clarke has done to deserve being left out in this way? I know he had trouble at Swindon but I never heard of any issues here.

Clarke obviously did not fit in with SCPs plans and was loaned out last season and this. Not sure there was any actual issue though.

Maybe because he was not very good when he was here last time, that is the issue. No specific problems with attitude other than some frustration expressed at Scunthorpe that he felt that he had not a sufficient chance at Charlton. That's not good, he needs to express, that he may not have felt he did himself justice the first time round and be ready to fight for his spot. The crowd may (that is a speculative may) give him a chance. He would have to understand that the Charlton crowd like players that give everything as a minimum, and are more likely to be softer on a lack of quality or mistakes.

Bradley Pritchard is a prime example of that. He loves to play football, gives everything and does not think he is bigger than the club. Chris Powell wants to see players with that level of spirit and fight (as does the Charlton support).

There is a spot for a quick central striker to back up Haynes. Leon Clarke does have some pace, would he be better in the centre aside Fuller, KMG or Hulse ? Is Leon Clarke better or quicker than BWP ? He is not in the big striker mode, such as Fuller, KMG or Hulse and there is no space there.

He has scored goals at league one level with Scunthorpe, can he cut it at Championship level ?

Not sure about that myself but I will believe it, if I see it. It would also help to hear that his attitude is positive.

  • i heard clarke and the other players dont really get on
  • I heard clarke found it hard to fit in and our players are pretty cliquey, so he kept himself to himself and got on with training. He was half fit when he joined and didnt really get a chance before being farmed out. For the Scunny loan he told powell and our coaches to 'look out for his name in the sunday papers'

Leon Clarke has pace? When he came on in the game against Brentford for his debut, he picked up the ball with space to run into on a counter attack and I seriously thought he had injured himself he was moving so slowly.

Or was unfit. Either way his whole recruitment seems to have been one big mistake and should never have happened. However in the scheme of things our recruitment over the last couple of years seems to have come out with more winners than losers and as QPR have shown recruiting "winners" is not just about money (although it can help).

    Impersonating a footballer
  • If Leon Clarke is being described as having pace, I may just about have a shot at 100m gold in Brazil.
  • I was trying to be encouraging.

So if Leon Clarke does not offer pace, and he is not suited to the left half position, so he was swapped as a back up for BWP ? Has he played in a central striking position at Charlton ?
