The CLiCK Form Guide comes up with some interesting information from the six rounds of November fixtures. Everyone knows that Millwall are the form team scoring highly in reasonably tough games. It’s interesting to notice that Burnley have had a good month, although they slipped up against a club from SE7. Watford have performed well, while Bolton Wanderers may look to be lower in the table than expected but have done well in November against strong opposition.
At the bottom end, Barnsley, Wolves, Sheffield Wednesday and Peterborough have performed poorly with Peterborough having fewer excuses than the other three as their games were against no more than average opposition.
There may be alarm bells ringing at Blackpool and Leicester City, who both performed poorly in a month against lower sides.
In terms of league position, the biggest gainers in November were Millwall, Watford and Charlton while Wolves and Blackburn Rovers had the biggest slides.
Charlton remain one of four sides to score in every away game. Crystal Palace lost their record in their recent 0-0 draw at Hull City. Notts Forest (10 games), Bolton Wanderers and Cardiff City (both 9 games) also share this record. Indeed, Charlton and Millwall are the top teams for the current sequence of successful away trips – a defeat without scoring today would ruin two sequences. COYR.
