Jackson was decent enough last night. Towards the end of the first half he upped his game and led by example in terms of closing down and putting tackles in. Peterboro played 5 across the midfield therefore had one over in that area.
When playing at home against the bottom side pritchard, jj, frimpong and kerkar is a slow midfield with little creativity and the majority of our possesion last night was in front of the posh midfield.
We need a player stephens in the side who is going to make the incisive 'gerrard esk' pass that can split defences and mess up opposition midfields.
Having said that millwall is going to be a very different side agaisnt a team in form who will look to bully us, commitment and not shirking a tackle being pritchard and jj's qualities even if they are a little slow.
Kerkar in my opinion is not good enough going forward and should have conceded a penalty.
Think jj and pritchard should start on saturday but have said all season the midfield yesterday lacks pace and creativity...although I recognise that is by and large the midfield that has put our recent run together
The whole midfield needs sorting out to be honest. We have no width of quality and no creativity or pace either centrally or wide. It's tricky. Not saying that any of our current midfield are not up to it if they had other players around them but collectively this lot don't stack up. I thought Frimpong was by far the best of them last night. If there is money available then I hope that we spend it on our midfield. As for the original question re Jackson. It's not working for me.

Serious question to ValleyGary and CAFCTom:-
Do you think JJ will be in our starting eleven in 12 months time?
I think he will still be a Charlton player though.

I certainly think he will be a Charlton player.
I would be wrong to say we cant or shouldnt improve, but with what we have, the way we set-up and the upcoming fixture, Jackson should start.
