Hi all.
I run a HTFC fans site -
http://huddersfieldtown.webs.com/I wondered if a couple of fans would be able to answer a few questions for me before this Saturday's clash.
First few to respond will get used and I'll the forum to it on the site and on Twitter.
Who has been your standout performer so far this year?
Who's been your best summer signing?
What style of football should we expect?
How do you rate Chris Powell's achievements since you got promoted from League 1?
What are your ambitions for this season?
Have you got any injuries prior to Saturday's game?
What do you know about Huddersfield's team, and what are you most wary of this Saturday?
And finally, what score do you think it will be?
Cheers!

Eggert Jonsson - runs the midfield
Who's been your best summer signing?
Chris Solly, picked him up from West Ham reserves. Great Striker
What style of football should we expect?
We play Association Football. There is Blackheath Rugby Club just up the hill if you fancy something different
How do you rate Chris Powell's achievements since you got promoted from League 1?
Alex Dyer is the real brains in the coaching side.
What are your ambitions for this season?
To finish above Sheff Weds
Have you got any injuries prior to Saturday's game?
I've had a sore back but I should be OK for the pub before hand
What do you know about Huddersfield's team, and what are you most wary of this Saturday?
There will be 11 of them, 10 in blue and white stripes.
And finally, what score do you think it will be?
Doesn't matter, let's hope it is a good game and that football is the winner
Full marks for all those answers ....except for the last one !
Mr. Consistent; Chris Solly.
Who's been your best summer signing?
The obvious answer would be Ricardo Fuller who is a good step-up in quality and experience on what we already had last season, but I'd go for Salim Kerkar. A great find. Looks awkward on the ball but can take on a full back and beat him, before sending in decent deliveries with a number of assists so far this season.
What style of football should we expect?
Not much has changed from last year. Not hoofball, not tippy-tappy, just efficient.
How do you rate Chris Powell's achievements since you got promoted from League 1?
About as I expected really. He's done well with the number of injuries we've had to deal with.
What are your ambitions for this season?
Mid-table with a platform to build for next season.
Have you got any injuries prior to Saturday's game?
Rhoys Wiggins and Lawrie Wilson are both out. Yann Kermorgant is in the process of coming back into the fold with an hour for the U21s during the week but unlikely to be ready in time for Saturday.
What do you know about Huddersfield's team, and what are you most wary of this Saturday?
You appeared to have strengthened shrewdly over the summer. Norwood and Vaughan appear to have been a particularly good signings.
And finally, what score do you think it will be?
Going for a 1-1.
Leon Cort - Center back. Wins most aerial battles at the back and can grab a goal from set pieces too. Danny Haynes is starting to raise many eyebrows too.
Who's been your best summer signing?
Ricardo Fuller - a class above in terms of flair and creativity. Just need to keep him fit!
What style of football should we expect?
Depends on who we have on the pitch. With the likes of Fuller and Kermorgant (fitness permitting for both) expect a very physical battle in the final third. With Haynes up front, expect your backline to be out of breathe very quickly! This Charlton side will always give 100%
How do you rate Chris Powell's achievements since you got promoted from League 1?
8/10
What are your ambitions for this season?
Mid-table finish, but will settle for anything as long as we are in this division next season.
Have you got any injuries prior to Saturday's game?
Ricardo Fuller is just coming back, should be on the bench. Probably too soon for Rhoys Wiggins, Yann Kermorgant and Lawrie Wilson.
What do you know about Huddersfield's team, and what are you most wary of this Saturday?
Can certainly score goals. Have been impressed with the transition made post Jordan Rhodes.
And finally, what score do you think it will be?
1-1.
The questions, and so answers, are nearly always the same and generic, there is little wit or invention in them so it reads like a 1970s programme ie "Smoking, Steak and Diana Ross". (that's pet hate, fav food and fav music for you youngsters).
Diana Ross
Who's been your best summer signing?
Salim Kerkar
What style of football should we expect?
Smokin'
How do you rate Chris Powell's achievements since you got promoted from League 1?
Steak (well done)
What are your ambitions for this season?
Not to go back down
Have you got any injuries prior to Saturday's game?
See above posts
What do you know about Huddersfield's team, and what are you most wary of this Saturday?
Good strike force, been impressed with Norwood (ex-Man U?), and the burgers inside the ground
And finally, what score do you think it will be?
1-0
We're very much a team with few outstanding individuals but Chris Solly has done the business week in week out.
Who's been your best summer signing?
They've all shown glimpses of potential but I'll choose Salim Kerkar because he's played the most and is getting progressively better
What style of football should we expect?
Depends on availability. I would have thought we'll start with a 4-4-2 but it's not unknown for us to start 4-5-1 and go 4-4-2 later in the match.
How do you rate Chris Powell's achievements since you got promoted from League 1?
As a relatively inexperienced manager he has handled an injury crisis to key players excellently.
What are your ambitions for this season?
Staying up.
Have you got any injuries prior to Saturday's game?
Wiggins, Wilson and Kermorgant are long term injured. Fuller is half fit.
What do you know about Huddersfield's team, and what are you most wary of this Saturday?
You seem to have coped well with the departure of Rhodes and a team on the play-off fringes more than a third of the way into the season deserves to be treated with respect.
And finally, what score do you think it will be?
Our home form has been poor but saying that we have already played all of the current top 6.
We come into this match after 3 consecutive wins so I would hope to avoid defeat at the very least.
Much against my better judgement I'll go 2-1 Charlton.
(That's the kiss of death!)
If that's how you feel then surely better to simply ignore the thread instead of wasting your time giving smart arse answers?
:- )
At least the bloke is trying to do something for Huddersfield fans.
Is it really that hard to help him out without nitpicking?
Sorry for ejecting a bit of humour and mild constructive criticism into the situation.
There is thought and consideration for the team they are playing. He asked us to talk mostly about Charlton, which is what 99.9% of the people come on this forum to do.
Solly
Who's been your best summer signing?
Kerkar has added trickery and balance on the left.
What style of football should we expect?
Mix of long ball to the target man and passing. Decent wide players mean the team often attacks down the flanks.
How do you rate Chris Powell's achievements since you got promoted from League 1?
8/10 Not spent a huge amount, but rarely picked a duffer. We've struggled until recently.
What are your ambitions for this season?
Stay up, without any drama hopefully.
Have you got any injuries prior to Saturday's game?
Wiggins, Kermogant and Wilson would all be in the first team. Fuller is recovering and will probably not start.
What do you know about Huddersfield's team, and what are you most wary of this Saturday?
Good balance, probably the most impressive pre-season signingings. Good manager: why the shocking result at Milwall
And finally, what score do you think it will be?
Do not know.
Solly*
Who's been your best summer signing?
Kerkar *
What style of football should we expect?
depends on personel*
How do you rate Chris Powell's achievements since you got promoted from League 1?
very highly*
What are your ambitions for this season?
mid table*
Have you got any injuries prior to Saturday's game?
key player out in wiggins. other key players on the mend/might make bench kermogant and fuller. *
What do you know about Huddersfield's team, and what are you most wary of this Saturday?
they lost rhodes but am sure the bloke from palace will have a blinder (scanell?)*
And finally, what score do you think it will be?
1-1*
*these are the unsourced opinions of PBS.

For the third time the questions are generic. They could all apply to every club in the division with a quick change of the manager's name and mention of promotion in Q4.
Who has been your standout performer so far this year?
Chris Solly is the best right back in the Division - a fact conceeded by a Palace mate who generally gives us nothing!
Who's been your best summer signing?
I'd go for Wilson but Kerkar and Fuller have been excellent and Seaborne, Hulse and Frimpong look to be great loans.
What style of football should we expect?
Safety first, hard working, good mix of pace and quality up front. Danger from set pieces - a convoluted answer but style difficult to explain in one word.
How do you rate Chris Powell's achievements since you got promoted from League 1?
Been unlucky with some poor decisions going against us and injuries to key players, but squad looks very strong so 8.5/10 with potential to rise further.
What are your ambitions for this season?
Play offs are realistic with our squad if fans get behind the team like they have done recently and we get th erub of the green.
Have you got any injuries prior to Saturday's game?
Wiggins, Wilson and Kermogant. Wiggins has been our big miss but Powell has done well bringing in Seaborne who was part of Southampton's team last season as we were having to play people out of position at left back which weakened the defence.
What do you know about Huddersfield's team, and what are you most wary of this Saturday?
Made some decent signings but doing better than I thought - expected lower mid table which won't be so bad if that is where they finish. Vaughan is a qulaity player.
And finally, what score do you think it will be?
I we score first - 2 or 3 nil. If you frustrate us- it could be a draw or win for you. We have yet to really prove we have cracked it at home although there were positive signs when we beat Cardiff our the last home match.
OK, harsh I can accept.
Still think the questions are generic and limiting so because of that he gets short and repetitive answers. Doesn't have to be Paxman but could be so much better.
Wiggins, Wilson and Kermogant. Wiggins has been our big miss but Powell has done well bringing in Seaborne who was part of Southampton's team last season as we were having to play people out of position at left back which weakened the defence.
Don't forget Hughes
