  • Quinn was a big miss for us. Far better long term prospect than Kerkar

Agree, he looks a really good player.
  • I always thought Quinn was overated.

    Jerome Thomas to Leeds.

Pity we couldn't have grabbed him. Wide left midfield.

F*** me, he thought he was too good for us when we were in the prem, he'd want his own boot-boy to carry him onto the pitch in the champ. And he only had one strategy. Run towards the corner, cut inside and try to get a shot off, repeat until we stop thinking he's going to a) score or b) put in a useful cross with his left foot for a change.
  • Agreed that Quinn was a miss for us - but a bigger one was Sone Aluko, who is pulling up trees at Hull. Still, you've got to cut your coat according to your cloth and Kerkar has done reasonably for us.

A good move to get the young lads out on loan - if Azeez makes any sort of impact and we are able to keep Rob Hulse, we may see BWP leaving in January, especially as his contract expires in the Summer.

    good shout
  • Reading Powell's comments Azeez isn't necessarily going to start for Wycombe. I expect he'll be on the bench and it'll be up to him to force his way into the team.

With BWP he's struggled to cause problems at this level, and Haynes has shown the difference a bit more strength and a lot more pace up front can make in this league.

I wouldn't say that there is very much difference between Haynes and BWP in terms of ability, but that their main strengths are different and Haynes' superior athleticism edges out BWP's instinct for a position (though in fairness to him that is not how he was asked to play for quite a lot of his appearances this season.)
  • Haynes injury prone and cannot be relied on IMO we need to becareful that we dont have all eggs in 1 basket with regards to a pacey forward
  • BWP may not be the quickest but think of the amount of 1 on 1's he has had. He just needs to stick the first one away and the goals will start rolling in again. He's had 2 perfectly good goals chalked off this season too, people rave about Kermorgant, Fuller and Haynes at the moment but lets be honest none of them look like they can play 46 games in a season, and score 20 goals in that time. He may be going through a rough patch and is out of favour, but BWP is still the one I am most confident in being our top scorer.

I hope Azeez has a good time at Wycombe, forces himself into the starting XI and shows everyone why we're all talking about him

I don't disagree on ability - but those strengths are what makes Haynes a
much bigger threat at this level.

Agree, let's hope we sign a pacey striker in January.
