Seriously, ask him why he thought we had released him originally and how he felt about it at the time and later. Also how it felt, returning to Charlton as our biggest transfer signing of 2012 after having been a top man at a smaller club with the inevitable high expectations that brought. How quickly does someone coming in like that settle into the whole club/team ethos that we like to think we have going here.

I think that would be interesting insight. If my employer had released me and years later headhunted me, a) I doubt I would return at all and b) if I did I can't imagine quite how it would feel.
