I think you'll find that the majority have no anitpathy towards Charlton whatsoever (unlike the Vermin, the nigels etc etc)....but will always putting one over you on the pitch...
I therefore make that a healthy rivalry....
At the end of the day its because you dont want to be like us, and we dont want to be like you in terms of the type of support we both want to offer to our clubs.
I perosnally like the fact that we have this 'Biggest Small' Club in the world tag. You for some quirky reason dont!?
Can i actually ask do any of you actually feel hatred or the need to cnut off the opposiion from time to time?
What i'm getting at isn't life about feeling a whole range of emotions which translated onto the football supporting spectrum means feeling like an abolute cnut at the weekend if your team is lost and conversly joyous if your team has won.
My perception is that there is total indifference to either really at charlton, that there is no hatred or joyous celbrations if either occur.
I just find that kind of environment starnge. Sort of belongs to a rugby & cricket supporters thats all.

really need to sort your spelling out
Don't be too harsh Large, it must be tiring for them standing on their hind legs for any length of time.

A lot of Charlton fans of the most recent generation, myself included, hold Crystal Palace as the main rival.
In addition, a lot of Charlton fans have good friends/family etc who support Millwall. We don't like Millwall but then again have never felt threatened by them in a footballing sense.
So you coming on here and trying to get a reaction really is a waste of your time mate.

Agreed. I don't mind Millwall.. -prepares for incoming!-
Naturally I'll be going to the Den and hoping for 3 points; but it doesnt have the potential to be any more painful than Palace at home a few weeks back.
It's all about the stripey nigels to be honest; biggest bunch of nobbers this side of Yorkshire. (Where you then get lost for massives and Leeds supporters - that's a pretty shit place; full of nobbers in general - without any rivalries.)
I'd gladly see millwall come above palace at the end of the season, naturally I'd rather we came above them both
There was a time NickyWALLjones I found myself getting really under the collar at a game a few years ago, got to point where I almost called an opposing player a bloody fool, but I managed to hold it together until got home, then I pulled all the curtains, poured myself a really, really large glass of water, and slowly calmed down.
Within fifteen minutes I was.chuckling at how reckless I had been, but equally proud with how I had dealt with it. I haven't made the same mistake again.
millwall are probably the most working class middle class club.
That's true FoD, there's a sizeable part of their support that moonlight as working class, salt of the earth at the weekend, all the while they're faking it. I knew a fella, worked for a global asset management company by weekday, and fancied himself as a millwal hardman by the weekend! On the internet at least. Im sure we all know a few like that. A curious new breed...

There are loads like that as a night out in the suburbs will prove.
Can an admin change the title to world's most working class middle class club?

I have some very good friends who are MillSmall season ticket holders. All of them have decent jobs and come from reasonably affluent backgrounds. One of them is an Investment Banker, one an Insurance Broker and another a very well respected Entrepreneur.
All three change on a match day to a bunch of loud mouth aggressive chavs, but they leave that at the match. In fact they think the type of people that behave like that in their day to day lives are scum.
I'm sure our new chum @NickyWallJones is exactly the same. I'm sure you'll see him on a weekday morning at Bexleyheath station dressed in a suit waiting to get on a train into The City, but come Saturday he'll be dressed in his Aquascutum and Stone Island get up, foaming at the mouth shouting abuse and innocent families and other football fans wearing their team colours.
We all know your average MillSmall fan hangs off of the coat tails of the older more notorious fans, they just like to pretend they are something big and mean. We all know they're not really.

Two-bob club, no fans, meccano set of a ground (which is never full), never won a major honour - no comparison. Next.
