and it all started with - Chrissy Powells Red and White Army

Broken record, don't really care... the reason we come back against Cardiff was 20 mins of CPRWA... this has spawned 9 points out of 9 and a sense of confidence we were lacking. EVERY GAME AT HOME FROM NOW - 20 MINS OF CPRWA... lets catch the Nigels!!!

  • Damn straight.

It was an atmosphere that just seemed to breed confidence on the pitch. Let's kick it off like that again against Huddersfield!
  • And Ceee Ayyy Efff Ceee deserves a mention too!
  • Due to the atmosphere created by the fans and the brilliant efforts by the players it was one of the most enjoyable games I have experienced at the Valley.

Though I was worried in that six minutes extra time.

Well, it was nearer ten, but I completely agree with the sentiment. It was superb.

    No. Just no.
  • At 2-0 down the atmosphere was either going to drain all confidence in the side or show the 'were all in this together' spirit. We did the latter and look at the result! Nights like that are why I support Charlton!
  • Good to see the correct words in the title.
  • It reminded me very much of the last home game of the prem v Spurs and the defiance of the crowd against adversity.

    Me too.
Singing VFR over and over, not even pausing when Defoe scored. A real, spine tingling moment, very similar to Cardiff at 2-0.
  • It is too early to identify turning points in the season yet.
I agree the Cardiff 'attitude' from our support was seminal, and we have begun to build from that. For it to be identified as a real beginning of something we now have to develop from that.
In my view, whether they are any good or not, Chris Powells Charlton give us everything they have...it is a mark of the kind of club Chris wants to engender. Because of that I really don't want to give the management and players a kicking, even if we lose some more home games. Encouragement, help, sharing the efforts...these are the sentiments I want to send out as a supporter. I feel this much more than with all the previous managers and players since Curbs.
Can we develop from the Cardiff transformation? Can we become sophisticated, classy, noisy support because our management and players are working so hard on our behalf? Can we sustain it?
Last year, when we always knew we couldn't match Fulham away on the pitch, but would give it a blimmin good try, our support didn't fret about the result, and sang for the whole match whatever. I would love it if we were to be able to get that kind of support at home, even when faced with big challenges.
  • From Twitter @cjsolly: Fans were unbelievable!! Constant singing at 2-0 down! Oh and someone tell @BenHamer21 we won and to enjoy the winning feeling!!! #cheerup
