  • As a manager? Player manager? Physio? Kit man?
  • He's running the burger van outside
  • Not paid too much attention but I thought he had banged a few goals in for swindon?
  • It seems its clear league 2 is his level now. Done well for swindon and dag in league 2 but on both occasions in league 1 he has struggled. I suppose pompey is his last chance of proving that wrong.
  • Makes sense what with Swindon strengthening up - what with Hollands and Martins coming in on loan.

@cs1986 - |He's put 4 away so far this season
  • I like him and I hope he has a clause under which Swindon underwrite 100% of his wages cos you can't trust those Pompey people to pay anyone.

As their accountant - given his experience he'll be a step up from what they normally have.
  • I think he bought the club. Their paying him too much at Swindon.
  • just think - Parky spent 2 months and around £250k to bring him to us.............utter pony !!

  • 2010–2012 Charlton Athletic 33 (10) Goals ------ absolute pony!
  • Hope this is a good move for Benno. Always thought he worked hard for us .
  • good luck to Paul

    Utter Nonsence

Totally agree. 10 goals in 33 appearances, several as sub, is a decent 1 in 3 return.

    Wish him well.

  • He was fine for us, leave him alone. Left a club where he was revered to come to us, scored when he played and gets treated like that.
  • He was treated very poorly at Charlton by a few supporters who seemed to think if he didn't score every game he should be dropped or shot!
  • Will always remember him for the 4 3 winner at Carlisle(the less famous game) fantastic as i would of never forgotten it with my Carlisle supporting mates if we had not won after being 3 0 ahead.

    Great goal to.
  • A gentlemen, wish him all the best at Portsmouth.
  • Dreadfully out of his depth but did his best.

Your so boring its unreal I bet you couldn't run a yard. As it goes he wasn't the worst and he wasn't the best but he tried unlike a lot

Is this still not the case rob hulse two games in was the worst player ever to wear the shirt. It's so predictable that a few bad games your a disgrace a dozen good games and we shouldn't sell for any less than 5 million where do we get em

    Fair one

I thought he always put in a shift and was good for a goal, few important ones in fact

Thank god we aren't in that league anymore. Walsall on a cold Friday night in front of 3,000 fans. Urgh.
  • He wasn't the worst by any stretch....

Be surprised if there were even 3,000 there to be honest, sounds like its being played in almost silence apart from a brave effort by the Portsmouth fans.

I'd live to know what the ratings are for this game

  • Good luck Benno.

Wrexham are playing Newport, probably more watching.
