  • Thanks, Nathan. I'd only remembered the JPT game.

With the Orient and Blackburn misses, not exactly 100% success from Jacko this season. :o(

    2-1 to the mighty Addicks

Austin with there goal but JJ and Haynes bring us back for the win.
  • 1-1 for me.....not going to be easy........COYR's............match thread from 2.00 pm
  • Don't think we will lose, dreaming of a win but would take 1-1.
  • id say ... charlton 3- burnley 0

goals from : haynes, jackson, cort

hamer, solly, cort, morro, seabourne, pritch, jackson, stephens, kerkar, hulse, haynes
  • A bridge too far. 2 - 0 to Burnley.
  • Horrible place, horrible game. Back down to earth with a bump. 1-3.
  • The division's 6th best home record against the 5th best away record. Would take a draw.

On the 8:40 from Euston to Manchester, really not looking forward to having to dick around between stations in the grimmest north.
  • think me and nathan are on that one changing three times along the way FUN
  • We have a lousy record up there and the last visit I seem to remember was a very late Burnley comeback and defeat for us. The rollercoaster continues with a disappointing 2-0 slump.

  • Lucky humbugs, lucky Cadburys fingers , half time banana ...what can possibly go wrong !

    Believe !!!
  • A tough place to go and, as others have said, we've got a lousy record at Burnley. I'll be very happy with a point to extend the unbeaten away run to 6 games.

Austin's record this season is phenomenal, although Paterson is a nippy little player and the sort of forward who may give us trouble - I remember him doing just that when he came on as a sub up at Scunny in 2007, albeit that we gifted him the goal and we have a rather better right back these days. Important to get after them as and when we can, as they are clearly pretty weak at the back. The sort of match where Fuller is likely to make an impact from the bench, should we require it.
  • 4 nil Burnley
  • Swerve Jnr is going to be our mascot so give him a big cheer if you are going up there! He was asked to predict the score and went 2-1 to us...that will do for me.
  • 1-0 either way. Gonna hedge my bets with £1 on Cort (40-1) first/last scorer but also have a 'banker' bet of £1 on Austin the same. That's worked wonders for me so far this season. Usually, I'm a jinx when betting on a player so hopefully that means that neither will score and therefore we get at least a point!
  • 0-2 to the haddocks - Fuller and JJ
  • @Swerve hope your lad has a great day mate
  • Settled Addicks side shore up their defence and put 3 in the back of the net with Austin only scoring through a swift kick to the shin of Leon Cort and running through his legs.

    3-1 to the Addicks!!!!
  • I'll wave my red and white thermos, that'll ensure a 2-1 win for us.

  • Is Burnley far from where you live, Lancs?

I've seen us lose too many times at Turf Moor over the years. I'm going for a 2-0 win for the home team.
  • 1-2 Charlton
  • No easy game, but can't see us losing. Think a draw is on the cards, 1-1

It's an hour away, nearest game for us this season is Bolton, we live half way between Lancaster and Kendal.

Is Burnley the most annoying place to reach in the league? The only one I've missed the past few years and I guess could have been worse is Hartlepool.

Didn't realise how long it's gonna take, even from Manchester (Victoria). I s'pose we could've booked to Preston but paid a load more.

a very nice part of England
  • 2-1 either way
  • 2-0 to us.
  • There's too much confidence in this thread for my liking. Charlie Austin is a big threat so I'm think they just might have the edge. 1-0 Burnley
