Exactly. Everyone thats in the midfield at the moment, has had to sit out at some point.

There was even a thread on here not long ago about Pritchard being unlucky to be out the side after some good performances.

    He doesnt have favourites.
  • I don't think Powell has favourites.

I do think he trusts certain players more than others such as JJ and Solly to do the job asked of them over those he feels more of a constant reminder to do it for the team ie BWP and Green.

    IMHO
  • Wilson has made some of the boo boys look very, very silly indeed. The ones that cant admit their knee jerk premature evaluation can still be seen on threads like this!!! I prefer to look at the collective marks on the stats that Lancs puts together so thoroughly every week which show that so far of all our midfielders Wilson currently has the highest rating, Hollands unfortunately is near the bottom. Hopefully this loan move sorts him out.

  • I don't ant him to leave Charlton at the end. He needs games though.

Left his wife with 3 twin babies, ouch.

Her tweet did actually make me a little sad until I remembered that Swindon is not actually that far away and he can commute if he wishes.

  • Anyone that thinks Danny Hollands did not hide against Watford are wrong it was highly noticeable too the pint where 3 of us did holland watch and he constantly hid

He would receive the ball from a defender and instantly pass that ball back to him

He then moved closer to a Watford player so he could not receive the pass back even if the defender wanted too I meant the ball then went long over his head

Danny then did not attack the space in which the ball was going to instead tracking behind the Watford player

He hid so well that even Powell couldn't see him and take him off

It was confidence something has happened and Hollands was not looking to be on the ball at all

Since that game IMO Danny has been a 5 or 6 at tops in comparison to a constant 7 to 7.5 last season average

This is not to insult or disrespect Danny but to just show that Danny is struggling to find his form and feet in the championship

If you don't believe it that's up to u but SCP would not Even consider sending out a fully fit fully confident Hollands on loan

Yet he has just done just that so I reckon I am right and those who disagree are wrong

I'd estimate Swindon to be 130-140 miles from Kings Hill which is where other posters have told us he lives.

Yes it is commutable in theory but it's a lot of driving every day.

Come on. Own up. Who suffers from premature evaluation? (and I think you mean knee-trembling).
  • Exactly oakster I like Hollands last season he was a key player in league 1 this season the step up is too much there could be many factors for this dip in form

But it has dipped and dipped since brum where I thought he was easily good enough for this league

Right decision for all parties to allow this to happen we ain't exactly light there
  • I don't think missing pre-season can be used as in excuse in the middle of November...

Although to be fair to the player, he was picked for the early season matches without being anywhere near as match fit as those who'd already had a full pre-season.

His willingness and eagerness to play seem to have given him no favours, as he plainly hasn't been up to speed.

It has cost him his place in the team and the squad pecking order.

He's spent most of the past 6 weeks not getting much game time, so you can see how it's not worked out for him.
  • Sadly I feel the championship is too much for him, he is going back to a level that is more suited to him. Hope he comes back and proves me wrong.
