It was a funny old week.
It began by a 4-1 spanking at home, a score which even the opposition manager was quick to say was
"flattering".
Then a game which had it all; 9 goals, a comeback from 2-0 within approximately 20 minutes, oodles of injury time and more..
Then, to top the week off, we recorded our first back-to-back victory; albeit against an opposition who was equally wounded as we were when we began the week.
Well, now The Championship Team of The Week has been announced...
In goal we have Ben Hamer. Possibly the only keeper to have let 8 goals past him in the space of 4 days..! Still, he must be doing something right

In the center defence we have Michael Morrison, part of the defence that let those 8 in.. But equally, a defender who helped restore the balance when it came to putting his chance away on Sunday.
In midfield we have Johnny Jackson, our beloved skipper. The one we all love, and whom some of us hated to begin to realise he just wasn't that quick... Only for him to come along and start the 5 goal thriller of a comeback.
The full team can be found
here.
I must say I'm over the moon at our lads getting some recognition, and especially happy for Johnny who has come back and reminded us all of just what he's made of - and just what he's capable of too. Also Hamer, I was getting a little concerned about how his confidence would be after the goal fests which welcomed last week!
Anyone else find the inclusion of Hamer surprising though?! I think he's brilliant, I feel truly confident with him in goal and my neutral friends on Sunday were equally impressed with him. However.. On paper, it's really not been the best week for him!
