  • Winning 4-3 after being 3-0 down up at Newcastle will always bring me happy memories.

For the stature of the game how about Liverpool's comeback in the 2005 Champions League final?

I would say that coming back from 6-0 down is pretty amazing no matter what level of football we are talking about.

Don't worry about it. He's been in a mood for at least a year.
What's wrong Off it? Maybe we can help.
  • Eh?

I thought the original post was asking if this was the greatest comeback ever?

It's certainly a good comeback but in my opinion the match Stig refers to was a greater comeback - and that's only partly tainted by the fact that it was us.

Hope that makes things clearer for you all.

  • Got to be the 7-6, with ten men....
  • Sorry, Off it. My mistake, although having just read your comment on the club badge thread I stand by the general sentiment of my post.

No, I come on a forum and read what other posters say, subconsciously noting people's viewpoints and attitudes.
    What does everyone else do?
  • Fair play. Apart from a couple of posters I genuinely don't remember, or care, who has said what most of the time.

Sorry Off it, I misunderstood your posting. I thought you were responding to my comment about it being "amazing" and not the question in the title as to whether it is football's greatest comeback.

Incidentally I don't think it is either. Still pretty impressive though!

    Fk
  • Ahh, gotcha. Sorry chaps, I clearly need to be clearer with my posts then.

A name change to 'Athletic' might help them.
