Club orchestrated singing is palace like nonsense. Arsenal with their dirge about north London, Southampton, Forest etc wtc Hate it.
We have RRR which is brilliant, but not there to be sung. Let’s leave as is please.
It doesn't help that the drummer is constantly trying to drown out RRR when the teams come out...
Like having a drummer, but I wish he'd shut up during "Red red Robin"!
You are quite correct. Also it doesn't help that the PA in the Covered End is so useless, so it's easily drowned out. Apparently it was made by the same people that made the floodlights and is operated by a wind-up handle. You can't get hold of the requisite spare parts to keep it running nowadays, so custom made components are fashioned from bits of old string.

It's not that anybody doesn't know the teams come out to "Red, Red Robin" at The Valley!
Even if he can't hear it, he knows it's being played. So, he must be beating the drum on purpose?
It's perfectly clear in the ACS. But it's partly drowned out by the Covered End singing something else, because the drummer is leading them in something else...

If you want to talking about Arsenal (had the discussion the other day at the Valley). They play this when the players come out (equivalent to us playing RRR when the players enter the pitch).
*North London forever (with the exception of Champions League matches) is played (as the CST suggests we do) just before the players kick off.
We own Woolwich now We own Woolwich now Fcuk off Arsenal We own Woolwich now
Would anybody back a protest, with custom produced scarves, stating Valley Floyd Road (the name is not for sale)
Not really it really isnt that big of a deal is it ? its just part and parcel of the game, if the club can make some decent cash off the back of it, great. It's not as if every one will stop calling it The Valley.

No, absolutely pointless IMO
Like I said on the other thread about sponsorship, some people just want any old stick to beat the owners with, and exploring potential ways to increase the clubs revenue isn't something we should be up in arms over.
