John Sullivan to join Colchester on loan

The bloke's a number one and is too good to be our third choice, good luck to him.

  • He looked decent when he was on loan to us, but when he signed in the games he had played he looked too shaky. Decent League One keeper.
  • good luck to him .. he won't get a sniff of the first team at the Valley
  • Never going to be a regular at Charlton.
  • Good luck , John.

    Enjoy Essex.
  • Pleased for him , hope he gets to play every week.

If he was too good to be our 3rd choice, he wouldn't be our 3rd choice.

    Millwall's 3rd choice then ours. It's not a coincidence.

    Best wishes to John.

I didn't necessarily mean for Charlton. Stop trying to start something out of nothing.
  • Though I've never been convinced with Sullivan, we have been pretty strong in the goalkeeping department when you consider the fact that a 3rd choice keeper is more often than not a youth player at this level.
  • Very brave keeper. Never let us down.
  • Needed a run of first team games, which he had when he was on loan, but was later kept out by Hamer and Elliot, will do well for Colchester and hopefully will sign permanently, if they can afford his wages.

  • Col Utd are on a bad run of form - won't be easy for him. He'll need some good luck!
  • Very brave keeper. Never let us down.

Obviously didn't go to Orient, Fulham or Preston away last year. Poor keeper, one of many dead wood to shift next summer.
  • Never rated him.
  • follow him on twitter and he seems like a lovely guy and popular in the squad, shame we're above his ability i think now. Good league one keeper
  • I wish him luck at Colchester. I felt he acted with total professionalism last season - when he signed he probably thought he was going to be our number 1, but then Hamer arrived. When called upon he played to the best of his ability.

Yes, unfortunately that was the problem.
  • Good luck john! nice guy :) will remember for him and hamer trying to get his family on the pitch and police stopped them and the north stand booed police! Let them on in the end! :) good loan for him

Fulham I didn't feel he done that bad there? Orient he come on as sub unprepared and granted Preston he was toilet. Anyway he's moved on good luck to him

Agreed. However, I thought in L1 he was an ok 2nd choice keeper - we weren't going to have the luxury of a 2nd keeper as good as Hamer. To be honest I'd have been happy to have him as 2nd choice in this league.

  • I thought he did well for us. Hope it works out good for him at Col U.
  • Good luck to him. Always thought he gave his all and was very committed. Also thought he was not quite good enough for us. Hope he finds a club that can give him first team football. I think he deserves that.
  • Making his debut today against Crewe.
  • Conceded three. Not the best of starts.

Less than Hamer has conceded in the last two games. Need to get him recalled. :-)
