The text service comes in handy, but is annoying during the game! Was going off all over the place on Tuesday night, telling me that there'd been another goal! While I'm still jumping up and down in the North Upper celebrating!!
Charlton have added attacking midfielder Courtney Harris to their ranks on a full-time basis, the club announced on Friday.
The talented engine-roomer, a free agent following his release from Fulham, has signed a five-month contract until May 1st, and will supplement the club’s U21 squad.
Harris, equally comfortable on the right of midfield or in a central role, has regularly featured in Charlton’s U21 Professional Development League 2 – South campaign under Nathan Jones this term, and also played in the Kent Senior Cup win against Chatham Town.
“I’ve been here for a fair few weeks and it’s pleasing to get my future sorted out,” said Courtney, who was spotted playing in a trial game for Brentford.
“I’m really enjoying my time here. There is a really good crop of young players here and the standard is very high.”
As speedy as he is tenacious, the Shepherds Bush-born 21-year-old came through the youth system at Craven Cottage, having joined Fulham at the age of eight.
He once reached the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals with the Cottagers, scoring in wins against Stockport County and Bolton Wanderers, before an agonising penalty shoot-out defeat against Aston Villa in the last eight.
A promising tennis player as a youngster, Harris spent a spell on loan at Bromley last season, and was released at the end of Fulham contract this summer.
