Any one know what odds you could have got on that score line?Probably enough to pay off my credit card balance.

  • I dunno but my old man had a score on us to win when we went 2-0 down ... at 25-1 . Luckily he did n't accept my offer of 50-1 at the time
  • I don't have a credit card balance, but then I don't bet. Thereby hangs a tale, perhaps... ;-)
  • Put a bet on at half time for us to win @ 12/5.

They normally do 'any other score' at 66/1ish or bigger
  • Been waiting to post this. Just before the final whistle against Middlesborough we were walking out of the East. A Father and his 2 kids were standing by the bookies. He was flashing his winning ticket for all to see and showing off, he had backed Middlesborough. We gave a few boos in passing and debated what sort of bloody supporter was he ? " How can someone pick Middlesborough to win?" My son said. " Especially 3-1 !"
  • 5-4 was 500-1 according to a tweet from oddschecker.com last night
  • I put Cardiff into an accumulator just after they went 2 up.. 10er as well
  • I had a couple of quid on Cardiff winning at half time and us winning at the end.

500-1 Thats the biggest Paddy Power do on silly scores. We are normally 500-1 to win most away games 5-0 on Paddy Power.

Which is why betting is a mugs game, wake up and smell the coffee you sillly buggers, I may be wrong, but I can only remember one five nil ( Peterborough ? ) in 25 years... Even if that isn't correct, 500-1 is still a piss take.

500-1 works out at almost exactly one 5-0 away win every 25 years.

All that "it's a mugs game" stuff is nonsense. So long as you're only betting what you can afford to lose its just a vice the same as any other - in fact it's one of the only vices that could have a positive return (apart from an obvious other, but this is a family site!)

You say that but if every away game was 500-1 for a 5-0 win (Ok not every game is). There are 23 away games a season. you would have to hit one 5-0 correct scores in 22 seasons to break even any more 5-0 wins is a huge profit.
  • So when was our last 5-0 win, home or away?

So when was our last 5-0 win, home or away?

Saints, our first home game in the premier?
  • that was over 650 games ago
  • and we beat West Brom 5-0 the year before that.
  • So when was our last 5-0 win, home or away?

Start it from now and ask me in 20 years time.
  • LOL - right you are then. :-)
