Find it bizarre the club doesn't keep us more updated with the u21 games.. I know it is the 'reserve' team but would be nice to see who is playing and who did what. Haven't seen any posts about last nights match. Anyone there?
Have you seen this page with all of the results and all of the reports? Granted the QPR report is not up there but there is a first team game tonight - priorities and all that.
final score 1-1 played out at Hampton and Richmond football club great setting, pitch decent left a bit long. CAFC Starting line up GK N Pope - Defence L-R M Fox, H Osborne, S Ajayi J Ashton - Midfield L-R C Harriot, R Bover B Jordan, C Harris, - Strikers J Piggott, A Azeez.
sorry lost team sheet otherwise could've provided QPR's line up as well, they reckon according to their website they were fielding no senior players but looking at their squad it seemed as if there might have been 3 involved.
Game was lively and well contested from the start to the finish with a QPR KO, they started very quickly and took advantage of being familiar with the venue and gained an early within the first 5 minutes to go 1 up from a good cross and a well struck finish. Charlton continued to soak up the early pressure for about 10 minutes before they settled down and started to take a hold of the game, creating good chances to score with good interplay down both left and right channels and also through midfield. It was down to Reubens Bover in midfield to redress the balance around the 40th minute with a well placed shot to take it to 1-1. HF
2nd half started as lively as the 1st one and in my opinion Charlton were the better of the teams throughout the 2nd and had several good chances on goal coming from well delivered crosses in from the left of field and good interlinking play through the midfield, however, they were denied the back of the net by the QPR goal keeper. Throughout the game strong challenges were made all over the pitch and unfortunately Harriott picked up 2 yellows with the 2nd coming at around 80minutes Charlton down to 10 men and the despite chances at both ends with a worldy save from Pope the game finished 1-1
Great advert for the league, quality football, fast paced game very entertaining
Do Sho Silva & Poyet play at all. I think they are the year younger but with all the hyp I thought they may have been playing at this level? Assume there is still an U18's? How are we doing in that?

yes they both play however both have been coming back from injury, expect to see them playing again v soon
I saw Terell Thomas wandering aimlessly around tower hill last night 6pm ish? was he on the teamsheet? I presume he was looking to get the district line to Richmond?
Here is QPR Starting XI: Brian Murphy, Michael Harriman, Sam Magri, Freddie Champion, Jamie Sendles-White, Max Ehmer, Mike Petrasso, Frankie Sutherland, Tom Hitchcock, Dylan Carreira, Trialist
Subs: Tomasso Trani, Bradley Simmonds, Peter Skapetis, Josh Hunt-Laurent, David Ftizpatrick
Correction to earlier match thread it was Tom Hitchcock who scored for QPR getting onto an in-swinging ball from a free kick outside of the box
DP you are correct JC did play against Brighton, but he did get a really nasty knock early on in season at one of the home games and I guess the club are being careful with him, to get him back to full match fitness, so I will withdraw injured and let's say he was rested for this game
Cheers Madadd, always nice to hear a report about the youngsters. Sounds like a good bunch, hope they can push for the senior team, love a home grown player who fights for the club
THanks Madadd, good to hear about the youngsters. Would like to see Pope, Bover or Cousins (when fit) to head out on loan to league 2 or something. Still feel loan option would help and provide much needed league experience
