It is the height of unprofessionalism to come out in the wrong studs and the likes of Ricardo Fuller and BWP have been around long enough to know better.
Lloyd Sam was always one for falling over and perhaps his slapdash attitude to his studs explains why he never realy fulfilled his undoubted potential to the full as it was symptomatic of his general attitude to his profession.
Agreed. However, I think it was Gary Neville who recently explained that lesser players tend to fall over more often because they haven't got the balance of the top players :-(
You'll find that a lot of players will wear moulded studs all season as they find them more comfotable than screw-ins or blades.. obviously doesn't help with most pitches watered before the game nowdays...

That makes Christiano Ronaldo a really crap player...

My pal was a pro and this is true but they have some of the moulded studs shaved off a thread put in and then they have normal studs screwed in, the theory is moulded boots generally have softer soles.
Most pros now use a hybrid sole with blades and moulded studs or moulded and metal studs all mixed in together. The top pros like messi, ronaldo etc have custom soleplates to suit their playing, running and dribbling style
