1968/69 and Cardiff at home on Good Friday a 4-1 win if I recall rightly followed by a 2-0 win over boro the next day - next up Birmingham away (?) on the Monday...these days they all bitch about how tired they are if they have to play 3 games in 8 days

Friday 4th, Saturday the 5th and Monday the 7th......7 points
Was that common in those days or was it a one off thing due to fixture congestion etc?
68/69 was the season my dad first took me to the Valley. As a young kid had probably been a closet Spurs fan until then (although my dad came from Lewisham we had long moved over to the other side of the river) but always remember Charlton had a great team that year and one that just missed out on promotion to the old First Division. Thought this was the team for me to devote my loyalty to - great days were ahead! Although wouldn't change that decision for the world, probably a bit mis-guided in those thoughts!
The Easter I always remember was in 1976. Beat Millwall 3-2 on Good Friday, Orient away 1-0 on the Saturday and Chelsea 4-0 on the Monday. That really was a good Easter!
