Are the chelsea v CAFC goals from Dec 1975 available ?

The reason I ask is, I'm sure I remember being 2-0 up, back to 2-2, Killer scoring after (again, I think) Phillips or Bonetti colliding with Micky Droy (?) and Derek putting it into the net at our (now Matthew Harding) end.
Or, and if it wasn't a dream, I need more medication.

  • score correct players correct Bonetti was goalkeeper that day and i was there.Have not seen goals off that match since that day,but what awinit was.
  • I think Bonetti collided wirh chopper Harris, but it's a long time ago now. Never seen the goals on TV. I was sitting in the benches in the old west stand, "interesting" walk out of the ground to say the least...the old red and and white scarf was tucked in the pocket by then.
  • Yep, I think Phil Warman scored one from a header. I think this game was played on the 27th December the day after we lost on Boxing Day to Portsmouth.
  • I was in the East Stand that day with my Old Man (Chelsea fan) and several of his mates (Chelsea and Charlton). I was 12 at the time but remember the beery banter between them all afternoon which amused all the Chelsea fans around us. When Killer notched the winner the Charlton fans were sniggering their heads off but needed a dignified silence as the match finished to avoid pushing any of the regulars over the edge. Fantastic memories.
  • This game has disappeared completely from the brain. It sounds as though its the kind of result you should never forget too.
  • I was in the East Stand as well that day. Remember them playing Laurel and Hardy at half time to which one bloke said, 'that just about sums us lot up today' meaning Chealsea.
  • I don't hold out much hope for you finding them anywhere MOG. There was no coverage of 2nd. Division games in those days, unless it was a 'Big Match' featured game and videos were in their infancy with VHS, Betamax and Phillips yet to fight it out for supremacy so it was still before the clubs (and Finch's for Charlton) started recording them. Have to live on our memories I'm afraid.
