James Bond - Skyfall The New Movie(includes spoilers)

I must admit i wasn't a big fan of Daniel Craig up until now , i know he plays the Bond part as a hardman no nonsense guy , compared to some of the other Bonds, but i thought he nailed it in this film , fantastic film the sound was so loud at points it felt like the cinema was rocking , well worth seeing , i think someone said the weekend just gone it was the 2nd highest grossing film in the Uk of all time , behind Harry Potter, it has had so much hype i almost didn't want to see it , but was glad i did.

I thought the film was great, absolutely love the villain in this one, so funny but menacing at the same time.
Feels like a new start with some nods to the previous 50 years of Bond movies.

    I saw it...I liked it.

Has a surprising amount of depth for a Bond film - and some surprisingly good performances, too.

I thought it made a change that instead of Bond breaking into a volcano, secret lair or airship, this time they were after him, and he was on the defensive. Also loved the comment Q made when Bond queried why he had just a gun and a radio, and no other gadgets.

Loved it, think I need to go see again to truly appreciate but adored it. Had a lot of twists and wasn't nearly as predictable as some bond films recently and wasn't just a Michael Bay-esque EXPLOSIONS all the time. Reckon it was the best Bond movie since Connery's time, easily of my generation (I'm 19, almost 20). Was very pleased to see a return to good form :)

Handled the 'transition' for the next set of films really well I thought. Certainly in my Top 3 of all Bonds.

    Craig was excellent.

Who'd have thought 'M' was his mother eh? ;-)

I'd love to go and watch it, but I couldn't voluntarily put meself through THAT song again! French and English radio have played to death. Gonna wait till it's out on DVD so I can fast forward that bit.

Saw it last night, great film. Loved Bardem, felt like it was more of a return to the older Bond films BUT still didn't feel like a proper Bond film too me! Either way, well worth seeing. As WSS said, has set it up nicely for the next set of movies.

Saw it in a packed Brixton Ritzy. Certainly the best Bond since Connery (maybe ever), excellent villian and great action scenes. Lots of good throwbank references to the canon including a ludicorous plot. Some breathtaking shots of Shanghai.

Brilliant entertainment, Craig has his own style and I liked the ending. These films are so much grittier and 'real' than the flying off into space or undersea Atlantis plots (although as a kid I enjoyed them immensely too). A good stand alone Bond film but can't wait for it to get back to Mr.White and co.

Do you mean the Theme song, Rob? Because I have to say that this may be the only song I've ever heard where Vic Reeves doing a club singer version wouldn't alter it.

Anything by Pearl Jam remains the same when sung in the club style.

Good movie. Like Big Rob I thought the Skyfall song sucks.

Supremacy by Muse apparently was being considered for the theme song. Would have been great actually, fits it well.

I wouldn't have gone to see Skyfall based on this alone.

I think it was the best Bond theme for a while actually, probably since Tomorrow Never Dies, must be in a big minority but give me that Adele song over Madonna, Chris Cornell etc. in recent times.

As for the film, class but just edged by Casino Royale in terms of the recent era in my opinion. I would put it 4th all time Bond I think after Goldeneye, Casino Royale and Goldfinger though would have to watch Skyfall a couple more times to really judge.

I quite like the song as well.

Saw it last Saturday and thought it was brilliant. Up there with Casino Royale and some of the early classics. Not played for laughs but a great story, great performances and some surprises. The song is ok - not a reason to go see it but not a reason to miss it either.

An exciting and entertaing film, great stuff. If they can maintain this standard 007 will be around for some time yet. And the Yanks still haven't managed to get one of theirs to play him: long may that continue too.

Saw it last night, absolutely loved it. The only thing that bugs me is the bad guy's plans seem ridiculously well planned considering he would have either made them inside a completely secure transparent cell or decades before. Just doesn't make sense.

Not a Bond fan but enjoyed it but not as much as the Mrs and youngest son who thought it was terrific.

Not a bond film, well half is then its not its how do we bump off M in a way that gives her a cool replacement.
