Any photo taken in the ground is owned by the the football league / club - even if it is taken on your camera / phone. This is in the terms & conditions, not sticking up for anyone here as I think this sucks big time as technically if I take a photo it is mine. These photo agencies will not persue you if you selling a photo here or there, if you are going to print a few hundred, then it is a different story.
this has only been the case since the premier league started
I only know about images taken in the ground, or if your image includes any club emblem (for the record, i do not work for any photo agency, football club, licensing agency, etc, etc)
play off final was after the prem had started so I presume that it will be covered by the current licensing law
think all the games are covered now by the current licensing law and if anyone is going to complain it will be a legal type of person who may or may not be on some sort of board......allegedly

Years ago I sat at the top of the East terrace and sketched the ground...wonder if I done it today if it would infringe something.
The catch all form of words that the Football League use are as follows, "No person (other than a person who holds an appropriate licence) may bring into (or use within) the Ground any equipment which is capable of recording or transmitting (by digital or other means) any audio, visual or audio-visual material or any data or information in relation to the Match or any aspect of it". How this is applied does however vary from club to club, but I suspect that by the letter of their terms of entry your pencil could be considered as "equipment which is capable of recording visual material". Guilty, I say ;-)

Not being funny, but your best bet is prob the club - but they may not want to support you.
Good luck.
