  • My immediate thought was John Robinson, but there are a few good ones here. sralan is right - if it doesn't have to be a player, Curbs should be right up there.
  • Johnny robinson
    Mark kinsella
    Sasa ilic (for one season)
    Carl leaburn
Johnny summers (or was his surname sumners?)
Jorge costa (if only for a few months)
  • Proud ?
has to be Chris Powell (Chris who ?) when he got the call for the 3 Lions. I never thought i would see the day when a CAFC player wore that shirt...

    Agree 100%
  • Killer End ofstory, everyone wanted to be him when we played as kids.
  • steve brown
  • Chris Powell

  • For unsung hero Terry Brisley.

One of my earliest memories at The Valley was my dad's mate shouting, 'F*ck off back to Millwall, Brisley!'

  • Mark Kinsella
    Garry Nelson
    Radostin Kishishev
    Graham Stuart
    Chris Powell
    Clive Mendonca

  • Richard Rufus. Hero.
  • Got to be Stevie Brown since he wouldn't let you down. Bloke was just as good in goal as he was in central defence. Also for that tackle at wembley
  • Bartram, Hewie.

    Semedo do me a favour

agree with that but I'd also add Rufus to it.....Killer No 1 for me though

  • Ledge's list plus Rufus, Robinson and Kiely
  • Killer definitely, Marvin Hinton, what a cool dude, and Mike Bailey who you would follow out of the trenches. Like so many other threads, replies here reflect our age and of course our era.
  • Richard Tydeman

Not sure I totally agree with that Granpa. I would suspect that the age range of those suggesting Killer is actually quite wide and encompasses those, more mature fans shall we say, through to people even younger than myself :-)

It's all academic anyway isn't it? We only have one ex-players face on a flag and it's not Semedo's!

  • Not my favourite player of all time but cult hero has to be Steve Brown for me, sums up everything you want from a Charlton player, never anything less but 100% commited to the cause.

    Stuart Leary - Ditto
    Len Glover
    Killer
    Richard Rufus
    Mark Kinsella
    Super Clive
    John Robinson

    agreed
