Help remembering a song from the sixties I think.....

I heard a song on the radio recently, have heard it before & it's quite well known - but its driving me mad trying to figure out what it's called or who it's by...
All I have to go on is that I think it's late 60s/early 70s. A little bit like In The Summertime by Mungo Jerry & features a single, really deep bass note throughout at regular intervals.....
Thats it - the bass note might be from a woodwind instrument, but I'm not sure.
Help?

Mouldy old dough?0

Could you hum it for us please? {:-)
Do you know the name of the radio station? Some put their playlists on their website. Failing that give them a bell and ask them, giving the day and time.0 -
Why don't you listen to each and every song played on Youtube?
You never know, you might just stumble across it (if you live long enough).

Did you catch any of the lyrics, anything at all.
I'd back myself with most songs from that era ;-)0 -

Something like that. Is on youtube. Sounds like summertime. Released 1970 and has a repeating riff. Worth a guess.Oggy Red said:Come on, Oaky - you got to give us a few more clues than that!
"Riding along on a pushbike, honey" .... (or something like that).johnny73 said:The mixtures - pushbike song

Nope it's not Riding along on a push bike Honey or Mouldy Old Dough..but it's that sort of song. All I can say is the bass is really deep a bit like a ship's horn kind of sound & it comes in at the end of every chorus....0

Thank feck for that! Tires repeat on me terrible!0

Sounds like John Entwhistle who played French horn as well as bass for The Who but can't think of a Mungo type song from them.0
