football for a fiver and season tickets

apologies if this has already been discussed, but while i support the principal of the fiver a game, doesnt it make season tickets less attractive? the same thing happened last season, with no compensation for the loyal fans.
i know we get named seats, but that isnt the point.

  • Season ticket holders shouldn't mind a game or two with a near full crowd? They also get a chance to invite friends and family at a low cost.
  • It still always works out cheaper for the whole season with a season ticket.
  • wheres Airman he always gives a good answer
  • I paid £240 for my season ticket. That's just over £10 a game.

Even if they do five £5 games a season, it's still great value for money.

The more ideas/incentives to get fans through the turnstiles the better IMO.
  • Airman has already answered this question about 3 times in the build up to previous, similar promotions. The number of promotional price games is limited so that it doesn't have a negative implication on the value for money of owning a season ticket. I believe they have guaranteed at the beginning of each of the last 3 seasons that season ticket holders will be at least £100 better of than people who buy on a match-by-match basis, even taking into account ticket promotions.
  • I don't care and I'm a season ticket holder (10th year). It's only 1 or 2 games per year anyway.
  • And what a great chance to fill any empties near you with people you know. £5 per head is a real bargain. It was last year in League One and more so now in the Championship. Have a ring round your friends and see who fancies a good day out. Go on - do it now! :-)
  • You buy the tickets - they can buy the drinks!
