I like Stoke FC, I think they are one of the last of there type of team but when I want to the Britannia I thought it was a piss poor atmosphere. On the back of the ticket it said loudest supporters in England but it was awful and not very nosy until they turned the speakers on.
I remember when I worked on the turnstiles at the Valley in the mid-late 90s. We played Stoke, were expecting a reasonable number of them and we had a security briefing pre-game. We were warned there could be issue with fans trying to get through the turnstiles a couple at a time, and that they like to take CS cannisters and snooker balls in socks to away games.
Really like Stoke. One of the hardest tasks in English football is to get a team into the Premiership, keep them there, and establish them. Very few are capable of doing it without being found out.
I wonder whether a teeny-weeny minority of the Stoke fans that 606 and the rest of the media blow out of all proportion moan about boring mid table premiership football and that Pulis has taken them as far as he can.
Proper club and proper fans, style of football comes and goes in cycles and its the manager that decides.
Growing up they played terrific stuff with Terry Conroy etc, I like them, good luck to them, dont recall them playing up at the last Valley Game in 85?
Remember driving away from the Victoria Ground and getting stopped at the lights. Me, my mate and two girls in the back, all teenagers. Big group of them noticed a Charlton sticker in the car and the next thing you know they are surrounding the car, rocking the bejesus out of it, punching and spitting on the windows. Two lads and two girls. How brave.

Never forget that. Bullying scumbags.
You probably only looked 12 back then, needed to grow more

You shouldve got out
Done a spining rd house kick on the first guy to his jaw
Superman punch on the first one that came to his aid
Chucked tge next one over your shoulder tgen snapped his neck
A head butt and knee to the jaw of the next dude
Back in the car 100% certain of a 3up whilst your mate can only watch in jealousy
Cant believe you let the opportunity pass you by smudge 8*)
My wife's family are rabid Stoke City fans.Have watched them a number of times in the old and the new ground. The support they receive is both loud and fanatical. As a football purist I do not like the style of football. But to be fair to Pulis he has kept them in the Premiership for a number of Seasons and he is introducing better footballers into the team.
Stoke will feel more and more pressure to change the way they play, like we did. In the end they will stop doing what they currently do then they'll probably fall out of the Premier League. Sadly almost all clubs if this size end up over stretching to bring in more flair players then they run up debts that cause them problems when they fall out of the Premier League.
I don't have against against Stoke, but I don't really like the way they play. In an ideal world kicking players up in the air would not reap benefits, but until the other teams learn to deal with it they will keep doing it.
For the record, I know Stoke do more than just kick players up in the air, just like Wimbledon in the 80s, but they really are not the kind of side I'd want us to be.

Also they didn't sign Fuller back on so thats a gift from them to.
Overall though I think Stoke are certainly trying to play more football now.

They won't be doing that again, I can assure you :-)
