GUTS!!!!!!

I was tempted to go to my other post and say "I told you so" but that is beneath me and we are all
Charlton supporters revelling in the great victory. I title this post "GUTS!!!!!" for a couple of reasons.

@ Considering the players we have lost, considering the new players we've had to gel
@ Considering Blackpool have some very good players in their squad
@ Considering it was away from home
@ Considering Blackpool have a manager who should be able to out tactic our "naive, wet behind the ears" Mr Powell
@ Considering there have been some quarters calling for Mr Powell's head.
@ Considering we lost one of our good attacking options very early.

It was a fantastic, gut filled victory and lads, I am absolutely proud of you!

    Great win indeed ,
    But ffs i haven't seen one person on here calling for the gaffer's head ?
    And what players have we lost ?

    I'm talking about injuries....Kermogent, Jackson, Wiggins.
    I did read someone on here somewhat having a go at Mr Powell. I'd have to go back and
    read closely, maybe he was just offering advice or something. There is another guy on another
    site wanting Mr Powell removed etc, stupid idiot.

    Let's not get carried away, great win yes but still along way to go.

    One reason that yesterday's win was so good was that it wasn't expected. Last season we expected, with a few exceptions, to beat most of the other teams in our division as after all we should be a Championship side. Well now we are and to beat a supposedly high flyer like Blackpool at their ground was especially sweet.

    Mary - as for guts yes it was a gutsy performance by the whole team.

    It's one win, no doubt this will lead everyone onto predicting us to beat Barnsley 4 0 which is never going to happen

    But yes a very good performance yesterday but need to keep it going a d get our first back to back wins on the board

    Walking up Ransom Walk after the Watford defeat, I heard someone suggest Powell had no clue tactically and that we needed to get Glenn Hoddle in to handle that side of things because all Powell is good for is motivation.

    Oh, and he also said that at half time, we should've taken off a defender for a striker because Watford were down to 10 men.



    It's results like these that stick it to people getting carried away that make me smile the most. Well done Chris Powell and well done Charlton.
