Is the front row of the West Upper restricted view?

edited October 2012 in General Charlton
I can't remember - got a feeling railings might obscure the view or something.

Any help appreciated - cheers!

  • Never been there boggzy but I think it's a "no standing" zone.
  • I'm in the 2nd row and there does not seem to be a problem, can't recall any railings

    .

  • Cheers guys, I'm usually in the North Upper, but a few friends (and plastics) are interested in the Barnsley game so need a few seats together
  • Think you will find that front row of west upper is for presspass only.2nd row is best view in The Valley have a good day could even see you as we have also seats in that stand.

Sit in the north. More life there.
  • Row A is directly behind the press and imho cramps your knees against the wall so like kap10 we sit in row B. Great view and get to see teamsheet and press releases ;-)
  • Until this season I sat in the row immediately behind the press and didn't have any problems. Actually I found that I had more leg room there, than I have now in the lower west, as I'm now more conscious of not kicking the seat in front of me.
  • It's all about row E in the upper west. A and B are for lightweights and plastics.

Row F is where all the top boys sit.

  • Upper West is a bit like Bournemouth and known as Gods waiting room, hang on a minute....

As soon as I put my flask down and fold my blanket I'll see you guys on the concourse ;-)

  • By the way I noticed they have some fetching Flasks in the 'New' Clib shop.
  • I belong to an organisation called the L Block Fanatics, though admittedly I haven't told my daughter or the three old blokes that sit next to me that that's its name or that they are members.
  • Uboat , you could become the L block Ultras , or on second thoughts.....
  • "We are the K block, we are the K block...."

K block? I don't think I've heard of that. Oh, hang on, you mean 'Pleb block' ;-)

Well I did let off a few firecrackers on Tuesday, but I think that was mainly dietary.

We can out clap L block grannies any time...
(I don't know about down your end, but I think the level of vocal participation near us has had a marked improvement this year)

I have a season ticket in row A, always thought it was a fantastic view
  • Good stuff! Will see for myself at the Barnsley game... seats all now booked.

the row behind the walkway in the west upper has railings in the way (row j or therabouts?). Bloody annoying for most expensive seats in the ground.
  • We've got railings and the steps to the concourse behind us,which is ideal as we can stand up when things get tense, without the need for any 'siddarn' drama.
