The biggest factor in our favour is that we have over two weeks, 15 days in fact, until the Geordies come to The Valley.
By that stage we should have Thatcher and Bougherra back on board although Marcus Bent and Herman might not be around, although hopefully they will be fit.
The main thing now is clean sheets, if we can keep five clean sheets in these coming home games [by no means impossible given the mid to lower table opposition] then we should be looking at at least four wins and a draw which would be just what we need.
The away games are a bit of a problem and I can really see Pards changing it round away from home and playing a 4-5-1 with ZZ supporting Bent.
