    Take 600 tops

Took 400 to Derby midweek. I actually reckon we may take over 1.5k but only if results improve, obviously!

Then again I could well be deluding myself....

If we're taking 1,000ish to Blackpool and took 1,000 to Ipswich at twice the price and with no trains on, I think we could easily take around that to Bristol with tickets at 18 quid as long as we aren't on a 7 game losing run by then.

    Easy 1000+
  • but the fact that it's a sunday may put people off and the way we're playing may put people off !

I'd agree about over a thousand if it was a sat but a lot of people don't really wanna be travelling the country and going to the football on a Sunday afternoon!

I'm with Mike. We'll take 600-1000. You'll be able to choose your row.

Would have loved to go, refuse to use south west trains on a sunday though

Use Great Western trains from Paddington

  • I'm sure it was a Sunday

    Was DEFINITELY on the Saturday
  • If its purely on money then Ipswich at 34 notes is far far cheaper and easier than Bristol at 18 notes for me

Sunday will put a few off plus a lot play Sunday football

Good on all those going but will be amazed if we take more than 700

I'll be there and I'll be in the Charlton Inn in Shepton Mallet the night before the game.
  • Closest away game (apart from Cardiff) for me, definitely going at that price.
  • Palace took 700 on a tuesday evening earlier in the year.

Under a 1000 at that price would be poor personally, unless we literally lose every game from now.
  • Having said that, just seen that Millwall had 180 last tuesday at Ashton Gate.

But they had to collect their tickets from Edinburgh 2 hours prior to kick off.

I will be booking this on Friday. Anyone know how many we have sold so far?
I'm bringing a friend to his first game so I'm hoping for a decent turn out.

There is a pub in Bristol centre near the canal called the Mardyke. Drinks in there are ridiculously cheap. All City before the match usually, but afterwards it should be fine. I remember it being under £2 for a pint of cider. A bit iffy in there though, so maybe one to avoid if with family.

Really looking forward to this one. Any ideas of where the prematch drinks will be?

  • Booking 3 next week.

2nd closest game now and probably not much chance for the closest one.

Booked National Express Coach there for £5, leaves 10:30 gets there at 1:15, then getting a lift to the ground from a Bristol Rovers supporting friend. Sorted.
  • I'm going!!!!!!!! Which means we'll lose or draw as I've never seen us win in 10 away games. I'm really looking forward to it as its only 1/4 away games I'm going to this year as my family is still poor but slight more richer than last year so my Dad has committed to going with me to 4 away games this season. : )

When I got my tickets they said unallocated seating, so you have to shift around to avoid a pillar or obstruction. Over 100 sold as of last Saturday. Was possible to get a return on trainline for £36 all in, the 10.30 out from Paddington, and the 8pm back from Bristol. Journey to Temple Meads is about 2hrs 10 mins.
