CLiCK - Charlton Life Championship Knowledge System - October 2012 Form Guide

Welcome to the CLiCK formguide for October. This month the guide is absolutely packed solid with information about the form of each of the Championship teams.

First of all, the CLiCK form guide shows us how each team has performed in September compared to the difficulty of matches that they have played. From this month, you can also see the form of each team in terms of consecutive wins, games since a loss and a pile of other stats. The highest for each category is shown in bold.

First of all, looking at the form guide, you can see (as we all know) that Charlton performed poorly against generally weak opposition. A draw at home to Blackburn saved Charlton from being next to bottom in the CLiCK Form Guide above Sheffield Wednesday who suffered five defeats.

The guide also shows that Brighton’s impressive month was generally against weak opposition, while Leicester and Huddersfield performed well against strong opposition. Leeds and Middlesbrough had the toughest games and both performed quite well. Notts Forest and Bristol City both did poorly against weak teams.

And now, let’s move on to the new ultimate page of stats. Charlton’s best showing is in the fact that they have scored in all four away games, although five clubs have scored in all eight games.

The data is split into four sections. The overall section looks at the 2012-13 season as a whole and shows the best and worst streaks. The current form section shows how long since a win at home etc. The scores summary shows the number of games where different numbers of goals are scored or conceded. Finally, the current scoring section shows the number of consecutive games that goals have been scored/concede etc.

Feel free to comment/criticise/suggest alternative statistics or other ways of showing the results.

  • I like this - but just to confirm Leeds had the toughest programme on paper and Forest the easiest?
Alos is the points available updated after each game or 'as at the start of the month' ?

The points are updated after each game, so it's a bit volatile at this stage of the season. You're right, Leeds had tough games and Forest easier ones.

Can Charlton remain the team to score in every away game the longest?
  • So scoring away is our biggest strength. Conceding at home is our biggest weakness. Here's to a clean sheet tonight.
  • If I understand correctly, keeping a clean sheet tonight would take out one of our rivals for that scoring away statistic?

    Sherlock :P

    Love these stats btw
  • im confused how brighton scored maximum points when they lost at home to birmingham?

Damn! I entered the result for Brighton using the wrong code. You are quite right, they should be 52 points out of 58, but still highest at 89.65%. TMA will donate £5 to charity for this error.
