Knew it was going to be a long old night. Went to the pub to bring back the draught Pilsner Urquell and cracked the glass container on the side of the bike.
Long dark night....
That's almost as bad as Charlton Losing!
I've got a nice bottle of South Aussie Shiraz/Cab Sav on the go, well it helps ease the pain.
O'Connor goes down, no free kick an dYann picks up, but Stephens caught in possession, Sammon takes on Hollands, edge of the box right hand side, finds Coutts but Morrison can head away the cross, Bryson to the left, blocked out, breaks down, BWP is barged over a bit and our free kick around halfway.
Or the clubs lack of money. We needed 3/4 first team quality signings.
Agree. Problem is relegation would hit us so so hard - Slater said we cannot survive as a league 1 club. By investing to stay up, the pay back would more than pay for it. People say the long term future of the club is more important. League 1 may not provide a long term future.
We just didnt do enough to the team in the summer. I think a lot here (maybe myself included) thought the existing team was strong enough. We underestimated this league.
The last two games Fuller has had a big impact, I wonder when he'll be ready to start games, we need to start being a bit more ruthless and picking our best players rather than being loyal.
It's not all over yet and Derby aren't a great side - COYR !
What concerns me the most in all this, is the fact that we are getting hussled out out of it. Even if our passing was off last year we still got about the pitch and worked like trojans to stop the oppo playing.

Coutts, midway in their half, to Brayford down the right, Coutts in front of Garner, Brayford chases, Solly clears for a throw though 25 yards down the line from our corner flag or so. Brayford to Coutts, BWP catches but then Coutts wins it back, finds Brayford RH side, Hendrick to Coutts, Brayford to Keogh, forward to Sammon back to goal edge of box, to Bryson, Coutts to Brayford now, 1-2 with Sammon who falls over in the box.
Correction - "Garner" should have been "O'Connor". Coutts to swing the ball in from the FK, deep, back post, Hughes nudges but Wilson final touch for their corner. Hughes to take, back post, and it's Hamer's.
Listening on BBC radio. It sounds like anytime we get the ball up to Yann or BWP we just have no options and we just lose possession.
The problem is we do not have enough speed of thought or skill on the ball so we go route 1, isolating the front 2 and to compound it we have no pace in midfield anyway to support the front 2.
