First time in a long while I have seen us. We were terrible. Pritchard, Hollands and Jackson not good enough at this level. Heard lots of good things about Yann but he looked lazy and didn't win anything in the air. Zaha took the piss and looked quality. We looked lightweight and hate to say Palace deserved it. I fear it will be a long season.
Reading the above, it sounds like we won't get any more points all season. It was, IMHO, a poor performance, but there is still 41 games to go. The fact that that Solly went to left back after Rhoys injury didn't help things, and the fact that Wilson isn't Solly had people around us slagging him off. Chris has been so consistent there that someone else "is not right". Still think its wrong to have everyone back for opposition corners (Yep, thats Me shouting "Leave someone up"), but, hey, what do I know ? Keep the faith: I live in SE26: Really going to enjoy the next few weeks.....
PS. Thank You to the people who I spoke to and asked about my (mental) health. Shame on you who avoided me.
More than anything else it was a nervous game. Players made the wrong decisions because they were afraid of making the wrong decisions.
I think this comes down to players being overwhelmed by the expectations that we needed to perform in a South London Derby, they respected Palace far too much. It's all about confidence. If we got the first goal, think we would have won by 3 or 4.
I believe it is all about the players understanding the level they are playing at and adjusting their play and confidence to it.
I was worried before the match but put that down to nerves.
By half time I texted a mate saying how worried I was by their wing play, don't think throughout their side they have that much more quality but they had a plan and utilised it well.
Fair play tqhink they deserved it but could have easily been a draw.
Players get better by being promoted, though -- given a few games at the higher level. Never forget about that. We will not be looking at relegation this season, but I think there may be inspiration for a few people with some spare money to put something into the club to get a few signings in January.
i thought hollands was good tonight actually and i dont think they deserved to win they had a good 5 min spell second half that was all and were lucky to win with a far inferior team to ours. but pritchard cant play right wing anyone who says otherwise doesnt know anything about football green may not be as good defensively but is a much better right winger when he came on he was quality. and also jackson is unfortunately and sadly not good enough for this level
I thought man for man acroos the whole team they where better than us, indicualy more skillfull and played as a team. All are clearances seemed to go to a palace player and are passing was sloppy, and we could hardly get a tackle in.
Said in previous posts that this squad of players will struggle at this level.why weren't we after bolassie? Cost palace fuck all,and we buy lg 1 players!
Bolasie will have more bad games than good. He's a typical Champ/L1 level winger. Looks decent one game, spends three or four games looking out of sorts. People seem to be basing the success of our transfer policy on one ok performance from an opposition winger. What, is everyone on this board Alan Pardew?

Positives we've only lost by the odd goal so far so maybe we're not that bad.
Still hoping for a couple of loans and Reo Coker to help but with no money it'll be hard
