  • McLeod managed to get Simpson sent off with two yellow cards - neither challenge touching him.

Do you blame McLeod or that idiot of a referee Mr Deadman, surely anyone could see the second one wasn't even a foul, why didn't he even talk to his linesman, I remember now it's because he's an arrogant twat.

You might have guessed Mr Deadman isn't one of my favourite referees.
  • Mcleod just got another one sent off ! Crawley down to 9, Pomey now 1 up.
  • I think he (Deadman) might have got that 1 right, always got to be a first one.
  • Which was the last game Deadman did for us ?
  • Mcleod got the third - he took it well !

Was it Oldham away? or was that Kettle?
  • That was Kettle
  • According to this, the last one of ours he did was Sheff U at home, which i dont recall as being too bad ?

Considering that Kermy should have got his marching orders, I agree with you on that.
  • Wasnt that the game Russell AND Beattie got sent off ?
  • Wasnt that the game Russell AND Beattie got sent off ?

    yeah
  • Deadman is one of the best refs, if not the best, in that division.

Thank you for the comment Mrs Deadman.

McLeod is not a bad player. Just unlucky with us that some knobhead of a manager paid a large fee and then failed to give him the backing he deserved.

  • Not his fault he came in on a massive fee, but dreadful person and backed that up with poor performances. Nobody came out of it well.
  • Why was he a "dreadful person"? Pretty bold statement to make, unless you know the guy?
  • He tortured kittens

Izale isnt a bad bloke, dont know how you have come up with that. When he got his knee decimated by that Timar guy from Plymouth he was in the crowd the week after and came across well.

  • He did come across as a bit thick to me, the rare occasions he did score he took off his shirt and got booked for it, thank god he wasnt prolific for us else he would have been suspended half the season!

I thought it was Todorov that got his knee done by the Plymouth bloke.

Heat of the moment, scored the winner in both games he done it.
  • did he elbow a northwich player off the ball and get away with it

He did in the game, not after though...think he got banned for 3 games.

Fair point. I was basing the view on people that I know that worked at the club who told me about a number of things that he did that ranged from petulent, through unprofessional to disgraceful. I'd not go into specifics, but basically the kind of thing that wouldn't endear him to supporters, managers or team mates. Nothing against him, but not the kind of person that I'd like to see in the squad. I think the strength of the current setup is the closeness of the squad. Maybe he's grown up, but not a player that I'd want at my club.
  • I'm surprised Russell didn't find himself something better than Pompey (or at least more financially stable), I guess there are a lot of players out there looking for clubs.

I think he thought he had, but we did not sign him. Didn't CP say he was trying to get hold of PNE's manager after the game to talk about DR but could not find him. May have given him a false sense of security.
  • Wasn't Izale Mcleod joint top scorer in League 2 last year, which is impressive considering he was playing for Barnet who only just stayed up.
