Dear Fellow Lifers, Not long back from a couple of pints down the local and the thread caught my eye. I can confirm that I've watched all of the videos and can verify that they are complete and utter shite. Although it's wasted ten or so minutes of my life (I couldn't stand watching the Vanilla and Mercy vidoes throughout and had to shut them down half way through) it has been a worthwhile exercise in reaffirming my belief that modern anglo-american values and pop culture is a pile of poo. Well that all depends if you like rap music or not, if you are a fan of rap you will know that there are some very clever artists. Just shit like 50 cent gives rap a bad name.
The song I really really can't bear (there are many i just hate!) is "Where do you go to my lovely?" by Peter Sarsted(?). The bit when he does that 'when you laugh...ha ha ha' makes me want to kill people!

I am presently in Wisconsin. The radio station churning away in the background in the hotel's restaurant/bar has a country song playing. Now that's to be expected but it keeps morphing into rap which is very odd indeed. I've no idea what it's called but it is truly dreadful.
I can only apologise to everyone for doing this but sometimes you've gotta be cruel to be kind. I personally think this song, it's singer and the lyrics should be part of the national curriculum....as a warning.
