I'm glad your confident, off-it, cos I'm not. I'd say I agree with you, but am I relaxed enough to park there, without worrying about getting it towed ? It is of course west of Maryon Wilson Park !
Well, there's always a risk in eveything we do. I mean, the buggers could bring in new restictions halfway through the match, or they could pick it up/tow it into the blue area just to increase their fine/ticket income, but my guess is it'll be fine there (in terms of parking - it's always been an area where windows get smashed/things nicked in the past as it's not overlooked by any houses. Park a bit further away if you don't want to risk it.
Good to see that a bit of common sense has prevailed here, and I think this is down to the good work done by the club. The councils attitude to our reasonable requests I feared would have fallen on deaf ears, at least there has been some middle ground found here. What with the late issue of these permits, and an unnamed map the council appear to be somewhat reluctant to assist people attending a sporting event just like the event it has made way for the Olympics. I am glad the council has decided to be a little relaxed about the policy, with a bit of luck for in the future they may even think that motorists are not the spawn of the devil, but just people having a choice. 'Power to the people' as citizen Smith might have shouted.......
not sure what's so difficult to understand . If you usually park in an area that pre olympics had restrictions then they still stand . If there wasn't before then there aren't now. Can't see why anyone needs a mad for that

Except I don't think you're correct. Eg I don't think you can park in Lansdowne Lane, The Heights, Pound Park etc etc, although after 5pm you may be ok. But definitely not on a 3pm KO is my understanding.
Take a look at the upside down, no road name map. It's really quite simple :-)
No permits required to park in the suspended area and the council has promised to cover the temporary signage to make clear it is not in force. That is a cost to them, which is why they were reluctant. Realistically I expect they will miss some signs.
The council says that its proposal reinstates the usual position for the Saturday game but I am not sure I agree which is why I haven't said that.
As has been said it's their map and while it's less than ideal we would be unwise to make our own, I think, even if we had the resources. It is clear that significant parking is now available. Given that when we met them on Thursday their initial position was to stand their ground I think we have done as well as we can.
Is it really that difficult to work out given that the main roads, the station, the parks and the ground are all obvious?

Thanks for looking btw.
Good luck.
