I'm very excited about Kerkar... Had good reports at Fulham and also sounded excellent on the commentary ... Powell shoved him in the middle and he seemed to have an energy about him that he wanted in this starting 11... Could be Powell has seen something and is using a new skill in his managerial learning ... The changing a players position skill... Hope so ...
History has shown we have ALWAYS needed a quality creative midfielder or driving midfielder when we have success... Bowyer,Kinsella, Parker, Jensen, Murphy (spit), Reid...
I'm hoping with Powell's lack of funds he's trying to do a bid of voodoo magic and pull a genius out from behind his cloak ...

Although i do think he will do ok
Lee Martin looked like he had Wagstaff's energy and Sam's skill, but eventually we saw his end product wasn't really any better. McCormack looked like he could battle and offer something going forward, but he seemed to struggle with the pressure of playing for us (but has since played CB in a Swindon side that won League 2).
Rangers FM researcher doesn't rate him at all. Said he was "a bit of a cult hero who we brought on when we were winning."
Let's wait and see how he does with a run of games.
I'll give him a chance just like anyone else.
Like most players who make it pro - there must be some decent talent in Kerkar and he does sound a bit different to what we already have in that he can go past player and has a bit of flair and unpredictability about him. I suspect what will have held him back thus far, if he does truly possess that rare talent, is inconsistency - that can iron out with age and maybe we've picked him up just as he's maturing, but it'll will also likely mean a lot of what he tries won't come off. That'll be fine as long as he's intelligent about when to play it safe and when to try something different. It'll also be fine if he has the work rate to help recover situations when he loses the ball and make sure he's not a passenger when it's not his day going forward like Andy Reid or Claus Jensen and doesn't just jog back like a spare part or plain disappear a la Darren Ambrose.
Based on his record so far, if Powell is comfortable taking a punt on him and putting him in around the 'strong team' for PSFs then I'm happy to give the lad some time to prove himself. I hope he won't be declared a waste of space if his league debut doesn't go fully to plan.
SCP has a good record so far of getting the best out of players who are hungry to learn and work hard.
Salim Kerkar,
He's the greatest of all
He'll score lots of goals
Its the only way to live
with Kerkar
Or something similar!
Like all sets of fans many different opinions but that was there general view.
Kerkar may be, but it's what he does when it really matters that'll tell us how good he is - Wiggins left everyone underwhelmed last season but we were all comprehensively whelmed by the time the season ended.
"That's the way Kerkar Kerkar
I like it Kerkar Kerkar" etc
