Claus Jensen talks about Fulham and Charlton ahead of Saturday's friendly

Comments

  • Fair enough but it was not so long ago that he would have put it the other way round - "Fulham want to be playing clubs like Charlton every week..."

    Something to reflect on.

  • Classy Claus.

He shut those gooners up with a quality goal.
  • Nice one Claus, your welcome back to the valley anytime.

One of my favourite ex players.
  • compete shitter with tackles, but nice guy

he wasnt in the team to tackle
  • what not ever?
  • no.never.
  • Who can forget the crunching tackle up at Man city, with the resultant lob over Weavers head from 40 yards.

That explains where I have been going wrong

Favourite goal of his I actually saw was seconds after Brad Friedel had scored to equalise forBlackburn in the last minute
  • Guess it must've happened somewhere but I can't recall any other high-profile game (on British TV) where a keeper's scored late and then had it cancelled out by an even later winner. Goal-scoring goalies only usually find themselves upfield as a measure of sheer desperation so it can't be common. It was a fantastic feeling when Claus scored after appearing to have 2 pts nicked off us so late on.
  • Anyone remember Fulham away when he was getting a bit of stick from the Charlton fans and Kish walked over to him to shake his hand when he got subbed.

He was a lad that Kish.
  • Quality player
  • Loved watching Jensen play. Seemed like he was the only cool head in the team against the big sides sometimes, a real possession player with fantastic technique and not a bad workrate to boot.
  • I remember reading an interview with Curbs saying that they always left him up the pitch when we were defending corners as he was such a great outlet for quick goalkeeper throw outs.......the ball would literally stick with him until others could join up play.
  • Claus v Blackburn.....about 2.25 into the clip. The next Blackburn player to touch the ball after Friedal's equaliser was Friedal getting his fingertips to Claus strike!

Former Charlton and Fulham favourite: I was better for the Addicks

Fulham obviously decided to leave that part of the interview out
  • Such a shame he had the injuries he did. He should still be playing now.
  • nolly we leave hard men like you and kish to do the dirty work, the fans come to watch the likes of me and jensen do the things they can only dream of (and tackling hurts)

the only World Cup i've been to Japan 2002 and Claus came on as a 2nd half sub when we were smashing Denmark , i wanted him to score !

  • A class act - loved having him at CAFC. Good memories!
  • Fantastic player. Scored some special goals and had a great set piece delivery on him. His free kick against West Ham was top drawer.
