Football Credit Cards

edited July 2012 in General Charlton
Afternoon guys. There is an article in the Independent by Andrew Hagger that may or may not be of interest.I do not know about you but the interest on my account is lousy,in saying that it might be enough to buy Marcus Bent!
The jist of it is that a football credit card would yield 0.15% and on a balance of £1500 would return £1.80 but a club club would receive approx. £15.00.The amounts received in some cases are significant, Stoke receiving more than £7m,Ipswich £7.2m,Norwich £3.3m and Derby £2m.Does our club have a card?I did try to attach the article without success.

We used to - I also read once that the most used club credit card in our shop was infact the Rangers card rather than our own !
  • That has left me dumbstruck
Good to have a sense of loyalty!
    Thanks SE9

  • Last season you could have a Charlton account with KRBS, which would give you a Charlton debit card. Presumably a credit card was also available.

The interest rates on club cards in general often don't appear to be the best when compared to non club cards. I am surprised at the sums you state the clubs get, I didn't think it would be that high.
  • I have an mbna credit card with the charlton badge on it. I'm sure the club get something in return but doubt it's much!
  • Cheers guys,
