  • So farewell, to the worlds largest digestive biscuit.
  • At last the damaged badge at the back of the North stand is to be removed and replaced with a new metal badge in Millwall colours - fact - it is on the club website!
    Ground sharing going ahead, then?

    ;o)

  • Wasn't this supposed to be quite expensive and not an important issue as finances were needed elsewhere. Or is it cheaper putting a metal one up rather than repairing the original.

Either way its quite confusing considering were having money problems.
  • We're saved !!!!!
  • The badge will be removed via controlled manual demolition
that would be someone chipping away at it then!
  • I have just walked passed and they already have the Lion up on the wall and there was a big Eagle laying on the ground that looked next
  • Can I be the first to say I dont like the new badge.

Would have cost around £50k to replace.

I agree that it is very confusing.
  • Not the actions of a club about to go into administration and/or leave the Valley?

Tarting it up for the Estate Agent :-)
  • Club partners PHB Construction, which helped to renovate the training ground last summer, has agreed to sponsor the works.

Good news , one less thing to moan about! :-0
  • Sounds as if PHB constructions are funding it

It's going to be made of aluminium which should be a lot cheaper.
  • Anyone here from the club know if the club plan to smash it up and sell as souvenirs ?

A bit like the Berlin Wall you mean?

  • Good news surely. And if PHB are sponsoring then well done them, and I don't see any cause for concern. It was a nice idea that didn't quite work in the long term - a bit like Rommedahl!
  • is it made of stone as stated or plaster, might make a nice patio...
  • One thing the club should be made aware of.
If it's to be made in a metal of some kind then a mould will have to be made.
We need to establish if the mould remains the property of the club or the company who make it....costs a bit more for the former but could well prove a saving in the long run.
Catch 22 in our present condition?
  • They could grind it up and use it to fill in the potholes?

    Obviously this. Save the planet.

Me too...I actually chipped it off myself shortly after the wall came down....bloody hell it was tough as nails and a real bugger to get even the smallest piece.

  • Aah, I remember my night in Berlin with my hammer & chisel, knocking a nice big lump out of the wall. However, the guy whose house it was part of didn't seem to appreciate it too much...................
