rather not have another thread on the same thing, if you don't mind mate.
People are entitled to think what they like, its their own prerogative.
There are a lot of mixed messages and the situation appears extremely confused (which will get even more confused if we start signing players this week, which would not surprise me).
It's all kicking off on the Charlton Athletic facebook group too. Lots of people saying the whole thing is complete bollocks too.
I know I said last weekend about the club coming out and tell us the truth some people on here said it could damage our club. But it is better not being in the dark we want to know the Truth ASAP.
Being a Charlton fan will never be '' Easy '' full stop.
always full of drama.
But i suppose that's why you gotta love our club so much. Been through the prem high's, the league 1 lows, and now when we think where on the way up again. This.
I think everyone should calm down. Slater and co have been genuine and achieved great things last year, give then some credit. Not entirely sure where this hysteria has come from

.....there is not proof available that will convince you but I and others believe the general thrust of what is being said for a number of reasons.
1. There are a number of different posters saying similar things over a period of weeks. Posters on other sites unconnected to CL appear to have other sources confirming the same or similar things.
2. Those posters have links to people within the Club and access to their views. I know this to be the case with PA, AB, Plaayer and NLA. And no, they won't reveal their sources. AB is also an employee of the Club. I choose to believe them just as you choose to not.
3. The action and inaction of the Club are consistent with what is being said to be the situation ie the lack of signings. Even if Wilson signs tomorrow that to me indicates that SOME money has been found, not that the overall cash flow and cash supply problems have been solved completely. Remember Rangers signed a player on the day they went into administration".

The so called famous 5 lol sounds like something out of battlestar galactica...they have "sources in the club" could be a cleaner for all you know, we are close to signing wilson and to me that doesn't sound like a club in crisis...airman posts something then vanishes like a fart in the wind, then all hell breaks loose....everyone needs to relax and look at official facts rather believe the famous 5.

You really think airman got his information from a 'cleaner'....??
I have to say that based on this post and your outdated link about Solly on the Lawrie Wilson thread I'm wondering why you're so keen to stir up complacency....?

Outdated in terms of what's been discussed over the lasrt few days on the main 'Slater Statement' thread:
'stay positive' if you want but please don't insult the intelligence of the people who have posted on that that thread (many with a history of fighting for this club - not just sounding off on a chat forum) by suggesting that they've got worked up about information from - what was it - first a 'cleaner' now 'somones word who works in a ticket office'.....
Insult?what have i said? Just asking the strength behind the source, i respect every charlton fan so don't start with that.....when wilson signs il post a OFFICAL link to you....you do the same if you come across offical confirmation that we r going bust.

In fact the Famous Five were books written by Enid Blyton, who wrote a t a time when cardigans were fashionable, so probably their credentials are not too wide of the mark.
